Prolific Academic - New Survey Alerts 23rd Dec 15 at 1:12 PM
Hi all, this is a thread dedicated to alerting everyone to new surveys appearing on the Prolific Academic site.

It's an interesting and well paid survey site, which also means they're popular and become fully subscribed very quickly!

I love the site, but find their own survey notifications a wee bit hit and miss and most of us don't have time to repeatedly check the site during the day on the off chance of finding available surveys. We won't all be eligible for the same surveys, but a quick 'heads up' when we do see one may make checking for surveys just a little bit more profitable and worthwhile for each other.

No rules, just subscribe and post when you see them to spread the joy!

Additionally, if you're planning on signing up to the site, please be sure to pop over to the referral thread to use someone else's link, before posting your own.

For that study, I got the error it's not compatible with the version of Windows your running.
    The instructions state that:
This experiment only runs on Windows machines (XP or above). It needs to be completed in one go, as there is no option to save part way through. Please switch off phone, music, and anything else distracting.

So perhaps you have an older version of Windows?

... I wish I knew. OH downloaded the damned thing because of that stupid shampoo study, which I had to really throw my toys out of the pram to PA even to be paid for, so I guess it was already there but I had to "forget" and change the password about four times with two different email addresses and was on the point of giving up when it decided to play ball. Sorry, I'm so not techy; if I could help, I would. I just tried and tried again. I still have not been paid for it, unlike the Lady of the Tiara... ;0)

Someone on here must be able to answer this question, right?

There was one up just now about facebook but I returned it after starting as they want you to paste 1000 words from your own postings .
That would take me ages and Im not willing to share my natterings with the unknown.
    I think it was a £1 payment.

They seem to want a great deal for extremely little, these FB-type ones, don't they? Darned cheek, if you ask me. I'm just glad I don't do social media... This is much more refined, imho. (Provided you stick to the "civilised" threads)
