    hi
Can i ask how you go about doing the comp days ? i have an mlife account and what not and at times i do see the offers, the last time i checked it was for 2 nights i think for the mgm and resort credit and freeplay.
I presume you phone the number on the page?
and they put the freeplay and resort credit on your mlife card?
    It is easy to do?
    thanx

Freeplay is on your Mlife card and you can choose to use it when playing a slot. You just press "ok" then enter your pin to use freeplay or pointplay.
Not had resort vredit before but I would think you charge to your room and the resort credit is taken off your balance.

Its me, the wife and grown up daughter going. As they spent more than me last time they got better rewards.
We were going to share a room but have booked 1 at MGM and 1 at Excalibur so they both got freeplay and resort credit.
They got around $250 in freeplay and $250 resort credit so will cover some slot time and some food for us.

Finally got the OH to agree to flying transatlantic ..... He was talking about taking a med cruise in April for his birthday and I pointed out the weather could be iffy so what about a Bahamas cruise instead and visit Kennedy Space Cenre (both cruise and the KSC are on his bucket list). I found a great deal on a Carnival cruise . He even agreed to go from DUB (but not GOT lol) although having played with some flights it's just as cheap in the spring to fly exLHR . Breaking him in gently so Vegas is a bit too far although he rather liked the idea of a long layover in Toronto and I can actually get a 23 hour layover scheduled. Not booked yet so lm not counting my chickens just yet ......but looking good.

Now does anyone have the Manchester number to call the US to save me a long wade back through posts please ?

Sounds reasonable. A lot of the coupons in American Casino Guide are for new customers. We don't tend to get one of those for that reason. We always get the MRB, but we go twice a year.

    Bobby:
Some of the Mlife offers let you book online, and some you have to call...
If you try to book online and it doesn't allow you to pick the date, then you call anyway and hope they just book it in

I made a few calls earlier this year to Luxor VIP services as I kept changing my offers with them, as new offers kept coming in with higher resort credits.. (ie: in the end, we had credits in Mirage/MC/Luxor).....
As baza said, u get the credit (and u can confirm it at check-in), the credit amount auto (but not always!, sometimes needs the operators input) comes off the bill, and you pay whatever is left, or try your luck and get it all wiped!

Potential useful MSE news... There's now an Amazon Locker at the Linq Promenade, could be useful for buying cheap supplies? Coffee machine, kettles...

Anyone know for sure if Amazon allow orders from non-us cards? Reason I ask is that I tried to order a pair of trainers from the Brooks website (with hotel address on the order), and the next day I got a 'sorry we do not do not deliver to people who have credit cards outside the United States' type of message.

We seen the Amazon locker when walking through the linq area last month.
We had looked long and hard on Amazon.com for a "bargain" so we could try it,but found nothing we really wanted at the time.

As pebbles says, they definitely accept uk cards...we have also ordered quite a few things from their site without problem.

    Gambling Winnings
A payer is required to issue you a Form W-2G (PDF), Certain Gambling Winnings, if you receive certain gambling winnings or if you have any gambling winnings subject to federal income tax withholding. You must report all gambling winnings on your Form 1040 (PDF) as "Other Income" (line 21), including winnings that are not subject to withholding. In addition, you may be required to pay an estimated tax on your gambling winnings. For information on withholding on gambling winnings, refer to Publication 505, Tax Withholding and Estimated Tax. If you are considered a nonresident alien of the United States for income tax purposes and you have to file a tax return, you must use Form 1040NR (PDF), U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return. Refer to Publication 519, U.S. Tax Guide for Aliens, and Publication 901, U.S. Tax Treaties, for more information.

Not sure if you can retrospectively produce it...if not, then it may be that filing a US tax return for the refund may be the only option.

We are flying with Thomas Cook on Tuesday. It's the first time in ages that we have flown with them, probably over 10 years. I have a few questions.

How strict are they with hand luggage weights (it's only 6kg), and do they allow a personal item as well?

We got a good price for the flight, but we are wondering about meals on board. Are they any good? What, if any, drinks are free? Is it just free with your meal?

There is a hot meal usually chicken or beef served with tea/ coffe/ water/juice, then mini rolls, crackers and a cake served with the same beverages closer to landing time. They also come round with a mini cornetto and water throughout the flight. All other drinks need to be purchased, they come round 2 or 3 times I think and you can also just call the steward/ess for anything else. Coming back another hot meal, then just before landing it's a cereal bar, yogurt and fresh orange.
