    Good morning lovely Alphabettys
I hope you're all well and raring to go on this
    most glorious of days!

International Civil Aviation Day was established in 1994 as part of
ICAO’s 50th anniversary activities. In 1996, pursuant to an ICAO
initiative and with the assistance of the Canadian Government, the
United Nations General Assembly officially recognized 7 December
as International Civil Aviation Day in the UN system.

The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help generate
and reinforce worldwide awareness of the importance of
international civil aviation to the social and economic development
of States, and of the unique role of ICAO in helping States to
cooperate and realize a truly global rapid transit network at the
    service of all mankind.

As the UN and world nations have now adopted Agenda 2030, and
embarked on a new era in global sustainable development, the
importance of aviation as an engine of global connectivity has
never been more relevant to the Chicago Convention’s objectives
to look to international flight as a fundamental enabler of global
    peace and prosperity.

    International Civil Aviation Day Theme

Every five years, coinciding with ICAO anniversaries
(2014/2019/2024/2029/etc.), the ICAO Council establishes a
special anniversary theme for International Civil Aviation Day.
Between these anniversary years, Council representatives select a
single theme for the full four-year intervening period.

For 2015-2018 inclusive the Council has selected the following
    theme:

“Working Together to Ensure No Country is Left Behind”

Civil Aviation Authorities, schools and other groups may wish to
take advantage of the posters and other graphic tools ICAO
provides to help highlight and celebrate this International Civil
Aviation Day theme. These may be linked to here >>>

    Pranic Healing Therapist

At first I thought it said Piranic.

Therapy to do with badly-spelt piranhas?

I've never heard of pranic therapy. Must go a-googling.

But sloe gin.......... yum yum yum!

    Edit.....

"Pranic healing is a claimed energy healing system founded and promoted by Choa Kok Sui (1952–2007), a Filipino entrepreneur and philanthropist of Chinese descent. The healing modality claims that prana (energy) can heal ailments in the body by contributing to the person's energy field.[1][2] Sui has also stated that pranic healing is like acupuncture and yoga in that it treats the "energy body" which in turn affects the "physical body".[3][4]"

So it sounds a bit like Reiki.

    Good morning lovely Alphabettys

I hope you're all well on this thoughtful and
    fun-filled Friday!

    Stray Over 2018

Stray Over is a brand new fundraising event for corporate teams to
support the work of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

The event is open to all business sectors and will challenge teams
to give up their warm beds and home comforts to spend a night
sleeping under the stars at our iconic London centre.

The event will take place on Friday 27th April 2018, when you will
experience a unique evening behind the scenes at our London
    centre.

The evening will consist of fun team challenges, a twilight tour of
the Home and the chance to experience a window into the journey
    of a stray animal.

    Why should you Stray Over?

In 2016, 26% of dogs and cats arriving at our centres were strays,
that's over 2,000 animals. For those abandoned on the streets,
they have nowhere to turn and are left to an uncertain future
    alone and unloved.

Our open intake policy means that we will never turn away a dog
or cat in need whatever their age, breed or medical condition. Our
three centres are open 365 days a year so there is never an
excuse to abandon an animal onto the streets.

For those animals who arrive at our gates there is hope that
through the expertise and dedication of our staff and veterinary
team, they can be nursed back to health and new loving homes
found for them, however long it takes.

By taking part in Stray Over you will not only help to raise much
needed funds so that we can continue our vital work but you will
also stand beside us in speaking up for animals.
