To work out what 19% of £30.49 is, divide £30.49 by 100 and multiply by 19.

To work out what 19% less than £30.49 is, divide £30.49 by 100 and then multiply by 81 (because it's 100-19)

To work out what 19% more than £30.49 is, divide £30.49 by 100 and then multiply by 119 (because it's 100+19)

Or do £30.49 times 0.81 = answer

0.81 is 1.00-0.19

and workings in red as requested

2348 divided by 12458 x 100 = 18.8%

1580 divided by 13044 x 100 = 12.1%
