It is our 25th wedding anniversary today, so I have taken the day off, to get flowers and some other little things, and prepare dinner (we may go out next weekend as well).

The starters will be M&S crispy calimari with a chilli dip

Mains - Slow roast shoulder of lamb seasoned with garlic rosemary and olive oil, accompanied by garlic and rosemary roast potatoes, roast carrots with sesame seeds, shallots caremalised in balsamic vinegar and a shallot and red wine sauce.

Afters! - Tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream.

Wines - Cremant de Bourgogne to start with the entrees, and Chianti Classico Riserva for the rest. I was almost tempted by a nice dessert wine - Australian Muscat, but the OH wouldn't have any.

Congratulations to andy and mrs andy.
The food sounds lovely, I haven't had roast lamb in ages.

I'm making macaroni cheese with some bacon in it, with mixed leaves and beetroot.
