    kdalwayskint - again! 7th Dec 14 at 9:25 PM
    So here we are again!

It's nowhere near as bad as it was the last time, I just need to sort myself out and kick the stupid credit card into touch. That's my journey this time, I'm hoping to get rid of my cc balance by this time next year. I don't know if it's doable as I haven't crunched any numbers yet I just know it's starting to get me down.

Need to update my signature so here it is as it stands now so that I can look back to see how I'm doing.

GC Mar £97.92/£200, Feb £196/£200 ~ these are from earlier this year realising that it's not great when OH out of work before Christmas 2013 and struggling after too. Things got better and then more out of work for him again a few weeks ago.

College bus fund £54/£490 ~ I ended up putting this on the credit card and then my DS decided he wasn't going again, I haven't cancelled the bus pass as it's proved fairly useful for him being a little bit independent, although I think he's called a neet? Which I'm disappointed about but he has decided to join the army and has an interview on the 12th December, so fingers crossed for him.

DFW Nerd #1155 ~ nothing to update here, this stays the same.

LBM 25/2/09 ~ this will remain the same as things are no where near how they were at this time in my life.

Debt at highest £8,037.35 and this still remains to be my highest.

Credit Card £1143 ~ disappointingly this is higher than I'd like it too be especially as things are tight, and it's a Vanquis card so Apr is awful, initially wanted to get it to help build my credit rating but I don't have any savings since OH was out of work and had to use it for emergency car problems, it's not crazy high but it's starting to get a bit tight paying the monthly minimum

So I am getting prepared for January debt busting, I have started to use top cash back for any online Christmas shopping, I don't know why I didn't do it before but I've now got a nect*r card linked to my fleabay account. I shall be doing the grocery challenges and resurrecting the sealed pot for 2015. I'm hoping to get rid of my cc and sort out a saving/emergency fund.

I'll be posting my Christmas planning too, so that I can see how things are going.

    Anyway, that's me for now

    Hey, how you all doing?

    Fitness update - rubbish!

~ I haven't been able to go to Aqua Zumba due to health reasons, nothing nasty just something that prevented me from swimming for a bit, sorted now and hoping to be able to start going again in the next couple of weeks.

~ no training done for Race for Life

~ weight seems to fluctuate 2-3lbs up and down so that's not too bad, still lost a hefty amount and dress size went down and stayed down, which I hope to maintain

    Craft update - great!

    ~ crochet bunny
    ~ crochet blanket
    ~ felt lark
    ~ felt owl
    ~ felt fox x 2
    ~ felt chick
    ~ felt butterfly

I volunteered to host a mini craft workshop at work, so decided on felt animals with lavender in. I needed some samples so that's why I made so many felt critters I was only expecting 4 people to join in but had a few extra

    Financial update - good!

~ almost at the point to be able to get rid of the crappy credit card, next payday should do it, thank goodness

~ bank of Mum has had 3 payments now so that's good, I'll up the payment amount once crappy card is out of the way

~ I don't keep track of nsd, I don't feel the need to at the moment

~ emergency fund, car fund and Christmas fund trickling through nicely

Work update - not so good!

I've started looking and applying for jobs, I've got an interview on Friday.

Hope everyone is doing OK, I'll check in with my usual crowd.

    Love to all

Nice to see your 'pots' building nicely - something I really need to focus more on!
Hope your job interview goes well - I will have my fingers crossed (not that you need me to I am sure) and will send positive thoughts!

Well I didn't get the job never mind, have applied for quite a few, currently there are two I can say put me forward for an interview, but neither grabbed me enough to want to go for them!

Going to be keeping a tight reign on the money this month so I can do a one final hit on the crappy card! OH dosh gone into my account today and it's payday next Tuesday so I'll l be looking at doing it then.

Currently doing a little course on data protection but it's not an exciting topic so it's taking longer than it should

Feeling a bit grouchy and fed up with most things at the moment

Catch you all soon, when I feel more like my usual self

Hi KD, sorry to hear about the job. It just means there is something better out there for you!!

I think the grouchy fed up thing comes in waves for all of us! How about you set yourself a little treat for when you complete your course? Nothing expensive (or course!! lol) but something just for you. I usually opt for a nail polish from somewhere like TKM4xx - but then again I do have a nail polish obsession!

Hope you feel more like yourself soon - it will come! xxx

Thanks Nats, I feel better today, current work still doing my head in but managed to leave it at work tonight ☺

I'm expecting a phone call tomorrow regarding another job so I'll see what that brings.

I'm a bit excited about being able to make a final payment to my crappy credit card, next Tuesday it is!

Must get on and finish this course, should be able to get on better now I'm not feeling so grouchy ☺

Well pots are a little deflated as used some of the dosh and have made a final payment to my credit card, need to make sure that's the end of it and then I shall cancel it altogether ☺

Got an interview next week, it's less hours same money so that's good, not much free parking so that's bad! Administrator at a pensions and investments type place. Got to have a competency test which includes maths, never been my strong point! I know I need to brush up on mean, median and mode as the lady from the agency gave me some examples of the kind of questions that will be in the test and those are the ones I struggled with. If I get it and take it, there is a chance to gain a financial qualification with them so that is a plus☺

Still plodding on with my course but not too far away from the assessment. Yay!

    Much love to all x

Not sure if it will be any good, but this link explains your maths bits quite straight forwardly! (maybe too basic for your needs though!)

I've just updated the bits in my signature, looking good

I managed to run some of the Race for Life and did it in 50 minutes this year, last year was an hour and ten minutes so really pleased with that and managed to raise a little over my target so pretty chuffed with myself

I've kept up with the run/walk since RfL on the 10th, which the dog is loving and downloaded the P0k3mon game and take the dog out for that too.

Craft wise, I've made a dress, a top and some alterations to a dress for my neice, I'm pondering what to make next but OH keeps dragging me into the garden while the weather is nice!

I took my mum to a hospital appointment yesterday afternoon, I am a complete nightmare, they weren't even doing anything to me and nothing gory to Mum but I still ended up fainting, I'm now banned from taking mum for her next lot of appointments!

News on the job front, I start my new job on the 1st August

I was supposed to do a hand over at work yesterday but what with one thing and another it didn't happen, so going in later this morning to do that.

It was the end of the school year yesterday and every year we have a big staff party which I was planning on going to as my leaving do as well but couldn't make it due to the fainting episode!

    Right I'm off for now!

    Catch you all soon x

YAY to the new job!! Well done KD!

I love the sound of the clothing you have been making! I would love to make my own clothes - think I would just end up looking like I am wearing a sack though! lol

You are not alone on the fainting in hospital thing! At least 2 of my friends can't step foot in one without coming over all queasy / passing out! As for my 2 bosses and needles - well that's another thing all together!

Have a great weekend - hope you enjoy the sunshine in between sewing! I'll be back next week! x

Well considering last Wednesday was supposed to be my last day at my old place of work I ended up going in on Thursday and Friday!

Have had this week off before starting my new job on Monday, can't say I feel very restful, I've camped for two nights in the garden with OH's little one!

We've used Tclub vouchers to go to the cinema and bought popcorn from the shop next door.

We've done a bit of gardening but I haven't done any crafting

OH took his car for an MOT and while that was in process we played in the park and caught pok3mon!

We've been out for tea tonight and tomorrow I'm going out for lunch with mum.

It feels like a jam packed week

    Oh Nats!

I absolutely hate it Lots of little things that make me uneasy about it, I'm looking for another job! The only plus to it is that I have learnt a little about Sage, so I am going to do a course as it doesn't appear to be as scary as I thought it would be!

    Cash news:
*I did get my car fund up to £450 at one point, but we decided to buy a new bed so took the money from there for my share but it's back to £100 now.
*Christmas fund is good, and I've made a small start on buying for Christmas too.
*Emergency fund is gradually getting there!
*Bank of mum debt is slowly going down.

    Home news:
I'm going to be a Nanna next year! Currently planning on what I can make, my son wants me to make a blanket, but it's been a bit warm to start so far, and I want to make a few bits for Christmas and then start on stuff for the baby.

Oh KD - sorry to hear about the job. But there are positives such as the Sage course to come out of it. Fingers crossed something 'perfect for you' comes along soon.

How exciting on the home news... Nanna KD!
I really must think more about Christmas... the 1 candle I have so far bought will not get me far!! lol

Thinking about Christmas and who I need to buy for, I've got a few extra this year, my neice had a baby in April, my son has a girlfriend with a little one, so that's 3 extra!

I'm planning on making a cloth book for my great nephew, and possibly some items of clothing too.

Not sure about what to get the sort of grand daughter, she is 1 and a half, thinking of making something, maybe a doll.

As for the rest of the family, I have no idea!
