    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

Lost 3lbs . So did DH and we were joint Slimmers of the Week .

Well done on the 1lb loss beanie, and thank you for Grandma’s birthday wishes. I’ve spoken to her today but will see her tomorrow.

Don't think I'll fare so well at WW tomorrow - I've had wine and a homemade cup cake this week. Was nice though - LOL.

Was woken at 1am by the dog this morning who then didn’t make it outside in time and I had a lovely mess of the brown variety to clean off the carpet . Just what you want in the middle of the night . He was obviously poorly though, as that would never happen otherwise, so I took ages to get to sleep afterwards worrying about him.

Got stuck in traffic on way to Grandma’s meal and turned uo late - only to find the birthday girl wasn’t there . She felt too ill to come, and ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance . Waiting for news now.

    Anyone got any spare wine??

Oh crikey Lucky - hope Grandma did not find herself on the Moon last night!

Also hope Oakley's tummy has settled now - although if a dose or two of slippery elm hasn't sorted him out you may need to budget for a vet visit (or have you got the type of insurance which pays all of every bill?).

Fingers crossed the family dodges 'noro' - not a nice way to spend half term! Plenty of vitamin C should tip the odds in your favour.

    ..Good wine, was it?

Virtual wine was lovely, thank you beanie . Didn’t have any of the real stuff.

Grandma was admitted to hospital and is still there for various reasons .

Booked the social club for my 40th Birthday in September. Another reason to lose more weight .

Took the dog to the beach today. Was hoping for a NSD, but the boys convinced me they needed chips . DH and I avoided temptation and came home to a SW curry instead.

Sending positive vibes to grandma xx

At least your 40th is an incentive to be where you want to be weight wise. Don't ask about my 40th, I lost my lovely mum to a brain tumour a week after mine, not one of my better birthdays

Grandma will be in hospital a few more days yet, but is picking up a little .

Took the boys, DH and MiL to the cinema yesterday to see Early Man. It was a bit slow in places but overall good and very funny. Expensive activity though .

Today we are going swimming and then the boys are going to MiL for pancakes later. Saves me a job of making them!
