    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

Hi all, thanks for thinking of me. I am feeling much more human now. Still a bit snotty but otherwise functional .

Made it to the concert last night and it was ace. Mr C is looking much older, walking with a stick and having to sit down throughout, but man he can still sing. His 16 year old son was his drummer, and I canít help thinking that this tour is to give his son a helping hand to stardom, but itís well deserved and they were both epic. The seats were great too.

Christmas tree and decs are up. Feeling festive Xx

Hi all, been lying low as Iím up-a-height!

Donít know if I mentioned it with all the sickness bugs, nights out, etc, but MiL wanted to buy us a new dishwasher for Christmas. Found one in the sales around Black Friday for £199 reduced from £349. Ours hasnít worked for a couple of years and it hasnít bothered me, but MiL really wanted to get us a new one so we organised it.

    Itís been a total nightmare.

    In a nutshell,
We waited 9 days for delivery not 4 as promised and when it came it was visibly damaged. The door had an outward crease in it so our cupboard door wouldnít fit over it. They took it back.
We were told weíd have to wait until 21st December for the same model, or we could choose another, but only up to the £199 value we paid, and of course all the sales have finished. The customer service was awful.
Arranged for a different model to be delivered and it arrived yesterday. Plumbed it all in, to find it doesnít work at all . Tried to call customer services to be told we had to speak to the delivery team as it had only just been delivered. An hour later we still couldnít get through.
Rang them again this morning, to be told Ďoh we canít deal with it now as itís not the day weíve delivered it, you need to speak to manufacturerí .
Manufacturer refused to speak to me saying Iíd failed security as the store had given them the wrong details for my name and phone number.
Beyond annoyed. Manager sorting it out for me with compensation apparently. Dishwasher going back and a refund being given, but we now have a hole where our old dishwasher used to be .

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh! Xx

Why is nothing straight forward these days. So stressful when you buy anything. I'm due a delivery of a corner sofa at the weekend, slightly nervous it won't fit. On the notes it says there will be only one person delivering it, let's hope he's a strongman as all my lot are out at the weekend.x

That is awful Lucky . Demand a lot of compensation or you will rubbish them online . It's very nice of MIL to buy you a dishwasher though .

Glad you enjoyed the concert .

Thanks for all the sympathy everyone . Still havenít heard re compensation, but the (second!) faulty dishwasher is being collected tomorrow. Weíve ordered a new one (different make!!!) from someone else which is coming next week.

    Some positives today.

Itís been confirmed that Oakley will be appearing in the magazine and itís out next week . £25 cheque coming our way .

A flustered business man was late for a meeting in the carpark today and had no change for the machine. I offered him a £2 coin which was all I had and he insisted I took his £5 note .

Took DS1ís faulty gaming headset back to Arg0s. At nearly 7 months old I thought they might want to send it away for repair, but they exchanged it no problem, and DS1 is thrilled to have a better one .

    Aw Oakley the superstar

Argos are brilliant with returns, they exchange or refund without question. They're usually my first port of call when making a purchase. Pity the same can't be said for other retailers.

Red cross is back on the door . DH is on antibiotics for a chest infection now. DS2 had a sore mouth (?!) last night and insisted he had to sleep with me so I could keep him safe. Quite cute really, but thankfully he was fine this morning and went to school.

2nd dishwasher was collected yesterday. Still havenít heard from the Customer Services re complaint, but the store manager rang me to say she was disgusted they hadnít got back to her either, and was taking it further.

Got weighed today and gained 2lbs. Totally fine with that as I didnít get weighed last week with being ill and itís hard at this time of the year to eat properly when Iím so busy (and skint!).
