    Three choices in life; Give up, Give in or Give all you've got!! 6th Nov 14 at 4:53 PM
    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

    At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

    .

    Tonight I went to Clubbercise and it was awesome! It's an exercise class done in the dark with disco lights and glowsticks and I loved it! Well worth the £4 it cost, I haven't stopped smiling! The class is on on Mondays and Thursdays and after I give up Beavers at Christmas I will certainly be doing it once a week.

    Evening all! Thank you for yet more lovely messages. Boredofbeingathome, that's a lovely way of looking at it .

    The Epilepsy Nurse rang this morning . The Consultant wants DH to try a new medication, starting as soon as the Doctors can dispense it. It will take 8 weeks to be truly into his system, at which point they will start to reduce the Pregablin, which has been ineffective at reducing the seizures. He is still to continue with the very high dose Lamotrigine though, as well as all the other medication (16 tablets per day!) for his other ailments. The poor bloke rattles!

    Apart from that we went to the gym this morning, spent half the day washing clothes after getting the next size stuff down from the loft for DS2, and DH got his hair cut. Tonight I've been to the Remembrance Day Parade Rehearsal. Nothing was mentioned re me leaving, will see if anything is said on Sunday.

    Welcome White Rose, and welcome back amber .

    Lilt, I hope the parade goes smoothly too! It's a really moving service and I'm also hoping the fact that Aunt Flo has landed doesn't make me a snivelling wreck!!

    Work was horrendously busy tonight. I mean so busy I almost forgot to breathe! So pleased to walk out the door and come home!

    This morning's parade and service went well, very humbling as usual. GSL said he is going to come on Monday to talk to my helper about her possible plans to become Leader after Christmas, but apart from that nothing was mentioned.

    We have had a very quiet weekend in terms of not really going anywhere as a family. We didn't meet my Grandma/Mum/Auntie for coffee, and apart from work yesterday and the parade /Mr T's today, we have just stayed at home. This has helped the bank balance and saved diesel, but I feel guilty that the boys haven't been very physically active, we normally don't sit still! Despite staying at home we still haven't achieved any NSDs though, as I did some shopping after work yesterday and then needed to buy a new hairdryer today after mine blew up this morning .
