    Three choices in life; Give up, Give in or Give all you've got!! 6th Nov 14 at 4:53 PM
    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

    In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

    At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

    Not a huge deal to report.

    MiL has been offered £50 compensation for a complaint I made on her behalf . Why am I never so successful when itís my own complaint?!

    Mortgage went out this morning for more than usual. That didnít take long after the interest hike did it ?

    That's very unfair putting up your mortgage without telling you, I think a complaint is in order. I'm so pleased I fixed the rate of my remortgage for its term at least I know what I'll be paying out for the next 7 years.

    I think the mortgage thing has been to do with the fact that DWP pay an amount towards the mortgage as part of DHís benefit, so we are supposed to just know that the shortfall amount we pay can vary. Except it hasnít until this month .

    DH had a partial seizure yesterday and has been all over the place head/mood wise . We didnít go to chub club and Iíve eaten my weight (which is a lot!) in sweet things to cheer me up so next weekís weigh in probably wonít be pretty.

    Quote has been accepted for respite break, so just waiting for the finds now and then it can all be booked .

    Mr T wouldnít take a 50p off coupon despite it being in date, so I emailed the manufacturer to complain, and theyíve sent me a £1 voucher as an apology. So a 100% increase for a little bit of fuss .(

    DH has continued with the Ďwavesí today, so thatís 3 full days non stop . He had another angry outburst last night and DS1 and I coped it (verbally, itís never physical!). When DH calmed down he said itís because he gets petrified that Iíll leave him and that the boys will grow up hating him. Odd, because itís only his angry behaviour that will cause that!

    Been to see Paddington 2 at the cinema today, which I prebooked earlier on in the week. MiL is a huge Paddington fan, so we took her too. Unfortunately we have used all our free tickets, so apart from Carers admission, it was full price . We all loved it though.

    5.20pm and Iíve already got my pjs and dressing gown on! Feeling like I want to hibernate . Wish I had wine!!

    DH has continued with the waves today (day 4) and complete blanks (for example standing in the dark this morning because he couldnít remember how to switch the light on). He is still emotionally unstable, but today thatís been manifesting itself as crying which is better than anger.
