    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

SA, that's so odd re Mr SA and his beer! Does he ever drink the flat stuff??

Hairy that sounds scary!! Does the machine make a noise? I suppose even if it does it's better than the snoring, or sleeping with one eye open incase he stops breathing!

DH had a partial seizure last night just before bed . Thankfully it didn't progress, but he slept in this morning and is very tired today.

Renegotiated DS1's phone contract today, so it's £2 less per month and 6(!!!) times as much data allowance than he currently has . DH's bill has also reduced .

Also did the bulk of this week's food shop today, which came in just short of £50.

Yes he does drink the flat beer the next day Lucky. Until you live with someone with brain damage you don't realise the weird things they do. I know you can empathise with this.

    Boo to the partial seizure

Good news re phones and reasonable food shop bill though

Yet more banking for MiL today, this time chasing late dividend payments. B@rcl@ys are looking in to it now, and I think she'll be due some compensation . She will if I've got anything to do with it anyway!

Apart from that I've been busy in the kitchen, making cauliflower cheese soup for lunch, and Beef Goulash for the carnivores later. Hoping today will be a NSD.

Sorry to hear about your DH's seizure

Lost 2.5lbs at Chub Club, which would've been great had I not needed 3lbs to make it a stone in 3 weeks . Ah well, next week!

DS1 is home and has had a fab week away . His suitcase of wet stinky clothes is less welcome, but it's good to have him back.

The suitcase smells like a riverbank Hairy! Bleurgh.

Well it's Saturday, which means only one thing - DS2 jumped out of bed at 5.30am with all the energy and enthusiasm he's been lacking all week, when I've had to drag him out of bed at 7.30am .

Saturday used to mean work too, which has reminded me I have heard absolutely NOTHING from them after the online rejection to extend my leave. Will have to contact my big boss I think.

Hope everyone has a lovely day Xx

Typical of the DC to wake themselves and you up early on a Saturday At least that's one problem you don't get with teenagers and beyond

    Have a good day

They did activities such as gorge walking Hairy, and despite having waterproofs and wellies from the centre on, somehow all his clothes tell the tale. Either that or they went swimming with their cases .

On to the third load of washing since yesterday afternoon . Miserable here too so heating is on to get it all dry .

Rather dull and grey here too

My ironing pile is at risk of becoming a monster Maybe it's time to put the tunes on and work my way through it as the washer is on load number 2 already today and will need the attention of forementioned iron at some point over the weekend

    Claiming the NSD .

Have made a complaint to Mr T's, as strawberries I bought yesterday and opened today are all mouldy . They are still well within date and were stored properly. Filled in an online form and supplied photos, and they rang straight back to say £5 giftcard will be in the post by way of apology . Great service.
