    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

The birthday celebrations continue today as DS1 is officially a teenager! Had a tea party with family tonight, and he's having a friend over on Friday for a sleepover.

One last day of eating rubbish tomorrow as we have plenty of party food left, and then back on the straight and narrow. 364 days to get skinny rather than being 'fat n 40' .

Thanks HI and Beanie. He had a fab day and is now much richer than me .

I've spoken to Dr over the phone today as I had to stop taking the medication I'd been given as it was making me really ill. Unfortunately I can now barely walk as the pain is so bad now I'm not taking the medication . I've been prescribed pain killers which need collected tomorrow, and I have to have cotisone injections into my feet in 2 weeks time . I've heard they really sting .

As a result, I've asked work to extend my leave. I had to do that online so will have to wait for the answer. There's no way I can stand for hours at a time. Someone today asked me if I'd had an operation because of how I was walking, and someone else asked why I didn't have crutches, so it's obviously obvious (!) that there's something wrong.

Hobbling in to say hi .

Restarted my SW journey today. Need to lose weight to help feet, boost confidence and feel healthier. No reason not to really. Got DH to take some 'before' photos and they are truly awful , so if I feel I'm waivering I can look at those and get back on track.

DS1 has his mate here tonight for a sleepover, and I took them trampolining earlier (with a buy one get one free voucher ) and bought them a pizza (also buy one get one free ). I resisted pizza, so first diet hurdle avoided! .

Hi Lucky, I've just subscribed to your diary.

My mum had your foot problem a few years ago ( can't attempt to spell it ) and was prescribed some special foot insoles which she had to wear for a year at least. They made her feet less painful though.

I've been wearing FitFlops as recommended by physio, but as the weather is changing I'm going to have to use the insoles in closed shoes I think. I wasn't aware you could be prescribed them though, I'll ask the dr when I see him, thank you.

Sleepover went well, and all was quiet by 1am . Friend had tennis leason early doors, so his Dad picked him up at 9am. We pretty much chilled the rest of the day, and a NSD was had . Feet still rubbish despite hardly walking at all yesterday .

Today won't be a NSD as I need some shopping, but hopefully we will manage some more next week, as yesterday was the first this month so far .

Actually although the doctor recommended them I think my mum had to order and buy the insoles herself. I seem to recall that they were quite expensive but they did help.

Mr Lucky has been zapped of energy today, so it's been a day in the house so far apart from dropping the boys off at school. This has worked out well for my planned NSD though, and fingers crossed that continues for the rest of the day.

So I'm a week into being 39 - 51 weeks until 40. I'd like to lose 107lbs (). Going to put this in my signature, as it will hopefully then become a goal not a dream!

14 weeks until the dreaded C word. Need to start thinking about that too .
