    Three choices in life; Give up, Give in or Give all you've got!! 6th Nov 14 at 4:53 PM
    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

    In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

    At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

    Thank you. You made me laugh on what has been a pretty miserable day. What did you order? Or should we not ask?

    I am so glad I came back here after a long absence.

    Sorry to hear about your poor puppy and brilliant news about hubbie even if he doesn't appreciate it.

    Whistles? Should bring back a few pennies on The Bay - someone will be looking for that kind of um, novelty item.

    Glad Oakley's recovering - nasty op, but essential. We thought Grand-pup was in for the same ordeal, but it turned out he was just a bit slow.. Everything in the right place now.

    It's a difficult one to celebrate, but Happy TC seizure-free anniversary to MrL - and you of course..

We've been back to the vets today, but the worst of his three scar sites is still slightly swollen, so she wants us to go back again on Friday just to make sure. Thank goodness the post op checks are free!! We still have to continue the short lead walks which is disappointing as I'm dying to let him off the lead. He looks so sad when we pass by the point I would normally let him run free . All for his own good though.

    The whistles will be going on eBay at some point. .

    Busy day today helping Grandma move in to her new place. Her old flat had a damp problem, and the council wanted her to move out temporarily while they sorted it. She refused, and said if all her stuff had to be moved into a new place at 82 years old, then she would be staying in the new place permanently!! Eventually they agreed and she's thrilled with her new home, but the removal van which was supposed to arrive at 8am didn't turn up until 12.30pm!! To say she was stressed was an understatement .

    £31.99 for the Post Office to redirect her mail . Still in shock at that!!! Xx

    Thanks everyone . Very pleased with myself still. Verbatim, I would NEVER forget to eat, I LOVE my food far too much . JAT, perhaps my Ninja moves contributed to my calories burned . Robin, I think the key this week has been filling half my plate with fruit, salad or veg, and reducing the amount of the other stuff I eat.

    Bad day for DH today. Multiple waves of fear/partial seizures and several blank moments. I found him sat at the top of the stairs at one point coz he didn't know what else to do. He's also made strange noises on a few occasions to get my attention, as he could neither remember my name or form words properly .
