    This is my 2nd diary on MSE. My first diary, "When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!" has to be closed as it's reached over 5000 posts!! It can be found here;

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3911061

In 2011 my Husband had a motorcycle accident resulting in a severe brain injury, memory problems and Epilepsy. Unfortunately he is getting worse not better and I am now his full time Carer, which can be challenging, but I'm ever grateful he is still here! I also have 2 boys aged 10 and almost 5, a part time job and I'm currently a Beaver Leader but I've just given notice to leave at Christmas (as much as it pains me!) as I just can't manage that too. The last 3.5 years have been hard going for lots of reasons, but worth it. Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day!!

At the time of the accident we owed over £23,700 on credit cards and we currently owe just over £3000. Hopefully this diary will see us getting debt free forever! I hope you'll join me.

    Lucky Xx

Ear still sore but definitely getting better! Haven't had to take many painkillers today, which is the first time in 8 days.

Orthodontist went well and plan has been made. DS2 has to have a couple of teeth removed in a fortnight () and then top braces on in November. It's at least a 2 year process though.

Lost 3lbs at fat club . It's a good start to my new 'journey'.

Oakley has learned how to climb the stairs . He has his next jab tomorrow and then not long until we can start going walkies .

If DH gets through tonight without a TC seizure, it's officially the longest he's gone between them (28 weeks). Such an achievement when you consider we used to be excited to get to 2 or 3 weeks apart.

Evening all and happy October- already . Had to put the heating on for an hour when we woke up this morning as it was 2 degrees .

Been to Puppy Kindergarten tonight! About 15 pups between 8 and 11 weeks, socialising in a controlled way with each other and humans. We played pass the puppy and it was lovely to have cuddles with them all. It was free (organised by vet), and all puppies got a party bag togo home with which included treats and a toy .

DH had a partial seizure on the way home .

Thanks JAT. The seizure didn't amount to anything more, and apart from being a bit slower than usual yesterday, he seems ok.

Helped my Mum by taking her old bath to the tip in my car yesterday, and her partner insisted on giving me £10 for doing so, which was completely unnecessary but very kind. He also pointed out I had a break light out, so I spent £2.99 of it on new bulbs!!

Lost 5.5lbs at chub club last night, so 8.5lbs in 2 weeks . Got slimmer of the week so brought home the contents of a lovely fruit basket, which will help reduce this week's spends.

Have woken up with a yucky sore throat . Bit fed up of catching everything going at the minute! Xx

Hello Lucky, just catching up with you and so glad you're back on track with SW - you can do it. Sorry to hear about Mr Lucky's partial seizure but glad he's ok. It must be so hard for him going from being a fit healthy young bloke to how he is now, but at least he's survived a motorbike accident when so many don't - like with Mr SA he's paid a price for his life.

Hope your sore throat amounts to nothing. When my two were young it was one bug after another - kids bless 'em. Big hugs from me xx

Been full of cold for a few days. Hoping I'll feel better tomorrow for work. It's been hard enough plodding on at home .

DH had another partial seizure yesterday but still no full TC. You got it spot on SA, it's very frustrating for him (and for me - having to constantly repeat myself especially with a cold and sore throat ).

Puppy has been out for walks from today . Also had flea and worming treatment as part of a follow up check with vet nurse. That cost £9 in total which I didn't think was too bad.

Pleased to hear pup has been out for his first walks. I remember how scared I was the first time we let ours off her lead, I was convinced she'd run off. Just think of all that extra exercise.

Hope the Lucky household are feeling better soon xx

Over a week since I last posted !!

    Quick catch up;

Lost another 3.5lbs at chub club making 12lbs in 3 weeks .

DS1 was brave and had 2 teeth removed as part of the 'getting braces' process . He had a day off school the next day due to his mouth being tender, but otherwise coped really well.

DH has had waves of fear but still no TC and we have now crossed the 30 week mark which is astounding! All hail the Kepra medication!!

We went to the theatre on Thursday night as a treat from Young Carers. We saw Mary Poppins, which despite being a 'bit girlie' for the boys, we all very much enjoyed. It's the first time the boys have seen a show other than a pantomime and it was a good introduction.

Work has been manic. They are desperately low on staff due to sickness/folk going awol and it's horrendously busy .

Puppy has doubled in size, literally. He's loving his walks and hopefully my weight loss will benefit too! SA, I feel sick at the thought of letting him off the lead . Has to be done at some point though.

4 more school days until half term again yay Xx

    Waving madly again.

Lovely news to hear, all seems positive, including not having a TC, it reminds us how lucky we are to have and also access to such medicine both physically and cost. ( Photos today in church about a village in mozambique which gives a lot of food for thought)

Need a pup photo for all of us to go arghhhh

    Love and hugs BM

Glad you enjoyed Mary Poppins. Years ago my mum took DS, DD and I to see the Nutcracker ballet at Christmas. DS was about 10 at the time and DD was about 8. He was absolutely mesmerised by it - I thought he'd hate it and it was DD who didn't enjoy it.

Well done on the weight loss, sounds like you've got your mojo back.

Bad couple of days with DH. No TC seizure, but constant mini seizures, very vague, repeating himself and angry outbursts. I'm fed up if I'm honest . It's hard not to get frustrated.

Lost a pound at fat class yesterday, wanted more but suppose it will do! Need one more pound to make a stone.

Parents Evening for DS2 tonight, and all is well .
