Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 2:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

    Plodding on.
    Not at my best.
Feel all I do at present is moan.
Had a chat with my GP through the week.
As we know muscles dont work properly.
As I get older the nerves dont work as well.
So this adds to the problems.
My anxiety levels are quite high.
I have had 3 falls this week.
As I said to GP I just struggle so much at the thought of being a burden.

So from now on in I am going to try hard to only concentrate on the mortgage free part of this diary which is what is was for.
I will not be posting so much.

In other news my energy supplier had halved my DD payment.
Now lovely as that was we are just coming into winter & I feel the cold.
Luckily was able to put it back up to there I thought it should be.
As I would much rather not owe them any money.

Bah to not feeling too good. Don't be a stranger though!

Hurrah for the energy costs - whichever way you look at it, that one is a positive.

Sorry its still so bad, beanie. I'm with the others - don't stop posting! Though one thing I do remember doing is the gratitude exercise, which really does help - three things that you're grateful for during each day. The colour of the sky (!), the attitude of someone that helped you, a tv programme you enjoyed (the joy of Have I Got A Bit More News For You is not to be underestimated!).

    Lots of hugs.

Agree with those saying keep posting, but ONLY if it's not making you feel worse about things. I think it's important to remember that we ALL go through good times and bad times - and you've been such a support for others on here, now maybe it's time to let others pay that forwards and be a support to you?

I nearly ran out of milk yesterday - can you use the bottle from the one that went off, well washed out, to put an "emergency bottle" in the freezer in case that happens again? Might get you out of trouble and save you going out specially particularly if the weather is pants.

Good idea re the milk, EH! Another option is a small carton of longlife in the cupboard. Doesn't taste quite the same as fresh but a whole lot better than off-milk!
