Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 2:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

[QUOTE=EssexHebridean;72667495]Writing anything onto a ballot paper is pointless really - the spoiled votes simply get counted as "spoiled" - they don't get read individually, nor do they get passed on to anyone who DOES read them. If you have a genuine protest a spoiled vote is a good way of making that point, (although not specifically) but to use the ballot paper in that way simply because you can't decide who to vote for is simply a waste of your own time in walking to the polling station, and the counting team's time in having to count it.

Waving madly at Beanielou and everyone.

Just to say, My OH acted as the Agent for a candidate this GE and I have stood for local council. By law the returning officer, in charge of the count, has to show every single spoiled voting paper to all the candidates and their agents to show that it is an open and transparent count. And for them to jointly agree they are to be excluded.

Along with words like none of the above and nasty words my OH read in the early hours there was some interesting illustrations of mens tackle I understand

Tactical voting did not work here
    The whole situation is dire.

    Thanks Bubbles

Out for lunch today with my mum, DS & his GF.
My mum is away for his graduation so we were out today.

Got shoes to wear for the graduation.
Would not have been my first choice but they will do
Sometimes I would just love to be frivilous rather than practical.
    It is what it is.

Was also hoping to have my highlights done but hey ho.

Tell me about it, having to wear practical shoes for a posh occasion ... I look at the photos from that wedding last year, and wince! I *had* bought posh shoes, but I couldn't walk 50 yards in them

Glad you had a good time yesterday

    Hello

New to the forum. What is the easiest way to overpaying the mortgage? Just phone up and give your card details, or do it online, or start a monthly standing order?

Or alternatively, shorten the term and thus permanently 'overpay'?
