Anyone taking the iSoftStone exam this weekend?!

I've just downloaded the guidelines, and am currently trying to summon the strength to start reading them..

For me, pages are either taking up to a minute to load, or they come out completely blank. Well, at least 50% of the time anyway. And this has been going on for the last couple of weeks now. Can't work out whether the problem's at their end, or if I need to buy a new laptop. Are you using an older PC/version of Windows?

I revisited the instructions for using the new Chrome browser set up and it appeared that I had somehow lost the '--disable-hang-monitor' bit from the Chrome properties. Most pages now load as normal for me so it may be worth just checking before forking out for a new laptop!
Sorry if this doesn't make any sense - I can't find the original instructions now so am trying to explain from memory!

I've also tried deleting and then reinstalling the add-on in the past, which seemed to make a slight difference at the time, but obviously wasn't perfect considering I'm still having problems. The only suggestion I've had from the PM is to try using a difference browser, so I've just downloaded that, and will probably test it out tomorrow.

Unfortunately my laptop is about 4 years old and has a few other issues, so I probably will have to replace within the next month or so. Just trying to find one I like the look of!

Morning, is anyone waiting for the hitapps to be added today, normally they are there by 8am , anyway my quality has been fine, so must be some sort of technical issue, I have emailed the Manager so hopefully it will be sorted soon.

I'm not sure if anyone who currently works for ISS still looks at this thread, but I just wanted to ask if anyone else is struggling at the moment?! Something seems to have changed and I am finding it really tough to keep up with the metrics. I've never struggled before so I'm not sure what is going on?!!

Yes I agree something does seem to have changed. Check your emails as you should have one which gives an explanation.

Hi @ANGELFLOWER, yes, it just doesn't fill me with confidence when they get an audit wrong themselves!

Still here Yes, got that email and also noticed the change. I don't really think it's that the new stuff is harder exactly, more like just a bit different in logic or just plain ambiguous vs what we have normally. It reminds me of how it was at appen butler hill, but at least ISS give us a bit of info on what is actually going on

Hi extraJam, yes, I agree, at least they do give us some info! I guess I will just have to keep plugging away and hope I keep up with the metrics!

    Hi,

Not sure how many GB judges still do this job but was wondering what date roughly in the month you usually get paid.
I've been doing this since september 2015 and its varied a bit. The last few months it would go in a few working days after the 11th of the month. In fact last month it went in on the 14th and on January 12th.

Its the 15th March now and it hasn't gone it yet, yeah I know it can vary I just wish we knew exactly when it would go in lol

Any iSS workers around? Just wondering how people are feeling about our pay rate on this project. Does anyone manage to meet the metrics to get the higher rate? Doesn't apply to me as I don't work the minimum number of hours to qualify for it anyway, but just wondering if it's actually possible to achieve..

Anyone been paid yet this month ? , I know the Easter break will have delayed it a bit, so hopefully will go in tomorrow.

Yes I have been hitting the higher pay rate consistently , I have been doing this for quite a while now though.

I do as many hours as I can though, I guess the more you do the better you get at it.

    Update: paid!

    Hi MallRat
Yes, I meet the higher rate most months, although I do find it a bit tricky to get the hours in sometimes. And it sure can feel tedious!

OK, thanks. Looking at the latest metrics, the main issue for me is the RPH. I can only put this down to being on a "older" laptop. Certainly not lack of experience, as I've been doing this role for coming up to 2 years now, and also did it for a year with Appen before that. So, even if I worked my !!!! off to do the number of hours I needed to qualify, I'd still likely lose out due to my speed being a couple of points below the requirement.

Just been feeling a bit fed up and undervalued recently with the minimum wage now going up to 7.50. So, if there were a load of us stuck on this lower rate (despite doing exactly the same job/passing the metrics each week), I thought we could possibly get together as a group and approach them. Either to ask for some sort of "pay equality", or whether they could switch the payment to US dollars or something..

Luckily, I am also with one of the other SEE companies as well, which IS paying us a decent rate.
