    My Diary v3.0 4th Jul 14 at 10:31 AM
    Hi All!!

Well, here it is... "My Diary v3.0"

My previous diaries (don't panic, there are only 2!) can be found here....

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=1303349&highlight=

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2961314

Today, my signature looks like this...

    LBM ,- Wed 19th Nov 2008 £19,225
    JAN 11: ONLY 170 0X £100 PAYMENTS TO GO *bank of OH @ 0%*
    *A WORK IN PROGRESS!*
    *2014 cashback pending £78.98, PAID £138.35*
    (2011=£137.30, 12=£66.39. 13=£102.61)
    Iceland fund £458.12/ 1000 EBAY £205.50

And I should be jumping up and down with joy as it shows that I have made my last payment of 170 x £100 to my darling OH (he lent me the money interest free to clear my debts!!).

But.... actually, that should be But (coz its a big but) here I am starting a new diary on the DFW diary forum.

And that is because over the duration of my last diary (starting November 2011) I have re-borrowed £6862.26 from my darling OH! To be honest, he is sooo useless with money, that I could tell him tonight that I made my last payment to him today and he wouldn't have a clue whether that was right or not! (But he does know I have re-borrowed this amount.)

But that is not an option. Bless him, he even said a few months ago that I don't need to pay him back any more. But, this is my debt, I spent the money, and I will repay it... in full!

So, I am going to continue doing what I have been doing. Repaying £100 a week for the next 69 weeks. By my reckoning that puts my last (and I do mean last) payment as the 30th October 2015!!! GULP!

I do have a little plan though (from my previous diaries, you will note that I like a plan!). I am currently setting aside money for a trip to Iceland next year for OH's 50th birthday. £10 a week as a definite, an extra £10 a month from the reduction in my car insurance premium, all cashback earned and some account rounding-down. Target for this is £1000 by December. I am pretty much on track for this.

So, once this is done I am going to keep setting this money aside to bring my debt-free date forward. Minimum £10 a week, starting next year!

Oh, and I still running several spreadsheets! I honestly could not live without them!

So, there is my sin confessed - you have got me for a bit longer!

Feel free to pop in and keep me company! Nats x

    Morning All!
This morning the weather is brighter and so is my mood so another day should pass without me killing someone!

Snow tracker is up and running on my PC - nothing happening anywhere near here at all!

Last night kind of went to plan, apart from checking through the CC bill. Not a big deal - can do that tonight! Also on the list for tonight is clean washing away and another load on. Must also pick up some new cat litter and see if we can locate a new door for the litter tray! Sausages on the menu for dinner, with mash and loads of veg.

Financially, everything is soooo dull right now. Nothing needs moving, nothing needs checking! B O R I N G.

camz - really? That poor girl! Lucky it wasn't me - you would have got more than a few "excuse me's" and a prod in the back! I can kinda see how it made you smile, but I am sure there are better ways to lighten your mood! Karma remember!

Really should plough on with work - end of month deadlines to meet and all that jazz! Just gonna check the snow tracker first though! lol

Yay for good moods, I'm in one too - perhaps we are cosmically aligned?!
No snow here either just ice cold wind!! I think my face has been reshaped through sheer wind. I am literally moisturising my face right now to avoid any damage!!
What is this reviewing of the CC bill you speak of? Like checking it for errors?

Yes I remember Karma, it's that thing I keep ignoring, like my signature and adult responsibility.

End of month deadlines - BORING init! Shame we can't be on a permanent holiday sipping cocktails. Hope you did good work-wise. Peace out Nats!

It also means I can see odd bits n pieces like charges made by eye-toons in the past which were thanks to DSS... although he denied it!

Really not feeling the love today! Some news I heard yesterday has left me a bit shaken and somewhat angry. There may be some unplanned / unbudgeted travel on the cards for next week as I have offered my support to a friend. Life really does suck sometimes.

Spin / circuits class tonight! Plan on working my ar5e off then going home to collapse into bed.

Holiday would be great right now - although not currently sure if I would rather be somewhere lovely and sunny, or tucked up in a mountain lodge with snow all around, a good library, an open fire and a well stocked wine cellar. Either way - neither are going to happen in the near future! lol

"Peace out Nats" - now that is something I haven't heard for years. Someone from my past used to sign off their correspondence like that. Weird!

Right, I am going to get some food!

I!!!8217;m just too cool for the world, it must be that.

Hope everything is ok and works out! Keep up the work with spin and circuits, if you can get involved in some classes that develop muscle as well as the cardio heavy stuff. More muscle = more burn just sitting around which is always nice.

I entered a few free holiday competitions lol. Totally get you on that one. If I travel it!!!8217;s for work of some sorts and isn!!!8217;t much fun even if I!!!8217;m in a wicked location. Well we drink that!!!8217;s about it.

    Brrr - Morning!
The weather station at home said -4.4' when I left home this morning! The sun is out and the frost is slowly melting!
Spin/circuits last night was ok - not sure if it was my mood, or just the tracks, but it was head down and power on!! I almost enjoyed it. Add in 20 mins of core work and another 5 minute spin at the end of the class it was no wonder my legs felt like jelly walking up the 2 flights of stairs to get out! lol
Talking of competitions, I did enter the TV one to win tickets etc to the England v Ireland 6 Nations match. That would do nicely! lol
Nothing new financially at all! I do need to pay the CC tonight though before I forget!
Still need to get OH something for his b'day! Thinking cap on today!
    Catch you all later!

It still fascinates me to see how much you have paid. I can't wait to be like you having actually paid down a bunch!
Glad you enjoyed spin class I find it really empowering when I finish like a 10K and I'm still going after. I like the sweat pouring down my face when I go above and beyond, so can totally see how it is fun.

I do not want to be pessimistic but realistically you probably wont hear back lol. BUT someone has to win right?!

RE your CC, are they not direct debit? I do DD and then have the CCs as bank transfers on my debit card, so I can transfer to my CCs like I'm paying a person, it's so easy.

What you thinking for OH? Is he hard to buy for? Me personally I'd be as happy with a multipack of oreos and a nice watch lol. No seriously.

Nov - Jan bills are always the biggest as there's birthdays, xmas, more birthdays etc.

Yes, OH is a nightmare to buy for. We both have everything we need! I think I have decided on a jacket OH was eyeing up before xmas. We are going to have a weekend away as a joint birthday treat when the weather is a bit nicer - but you can't have a birthday without something to unwrap! lol We'll be heading out for lunch somewhere on Sunday too.

Anyway, spreadsheets all checked and still on track to pay of my car loan in April! I'm gonna take a few hundred out of my emergency fund to do it... but that's fine! Bye bye loan!

On a different note - does anyone ever think that the universe is trying to tell them something? (a bit random I know). Its just that there have been quite a few things that I have heard, seen, even smelt / tasted over the past couple of weeks that have kinda been blasts from my past... and it's a bit freaky to be honest!

Also, completely random, but last night I really fancied a mojito.. and I don't even really like rum!

Right, I am going now before you all decide I am a complete fruit loop!

    Afternoon All!
It took me half an hour this morning to de-frost my car. It was almost as icey on the inside as the out! Lovely at -3.5'!!

Had a lovely weekend. A spot of housework Sat, then shopping for mums b'day present and card + OH's present. He rumbled me on Friday evening and said he didn't want the jacket! Eek! Said he didn't want anything as we have that weekend away planned. So I ignored him and he had a lovely hoody and bottle of smelly to unwrap! (bought with some gift vouchers I received at work, so technically didn't cost me a thing!)
Went out and watched the Rugby Sat afternoon... washed down with a couple of ciders!
Yesterday I washed the car whilst OH installed the dashcam I bought him for xmas! Out for a couple of b'day drinks with some friends and then home for a chinese. OH's choice!!

Loads of bits n pieces to sort out and do this week... all silly bits which will just take a bit of time and have to be done by certain times! I feel a few lists coming on!

Nothing new on the survey or cashback front. All dull and still 16 days to pay day!

Hiya Nats, I hope you had a nice meal on SundayÖ All guys like a good jacket so not sure why he didnít want it, but I prefer hoodies to jackets anyway so youíre onto a winner Iím sure.

GOODBYE CAR LOAN Ė thatís amazing.

& you are a total fruit loop, I decided that a long time ago.

You need some de-icer spray, it is my favourite thing. If I donít have some in the car I worry about it until I get me some.

Lol, I think you got the short-end of the deal having to wash the entire car as the OH routed a few wires around.

I watched the rugby too after I went for a nice brunch. I didnít find it too great overall, but meh, free entertainment for a few hours.

Iím also counting down days to payday! HURRY UP! That said I am homeless on payday as well at this rate lol (long story will post on my thread). BOO!!

Have a lovely rest of the week, and happy hump day for tomorrow!

Got to love it when you type a long post... and then the internet crashes!

Anyway, the original post went along the lines of...

lol - We got through 2 x cans of de-icer the other morning.. it was sooo frozen I couldn't even get in my car!

Off work yesterday for family wedding - was a lovely day and great to catch up with some Aunts and Uncles I don't see that often. Cash spends on the day £25.65 - not too bad if you don't factor in a new dress, necklace, bracelet, earrings, wedding present + card and a haircut!!

I drove OH's car this morning as I couldn't be bothered to swap them over on the drive. So OH has mine. He messaged just after 9 to say that when he got to work a man came over to him in the car park to point out that one of the tyres was flat. Turns out it wasn't just flat.... it was off the rim, smoking and the guy that came over to OH had heard the rim hit the floor!!! A new tyre is not the end of the world - but I better not need a new rim!! FFS!

In better financial news, I am up to £21+ in my Pro.Ac account. I would usually whip this straight out and into my car fund - however, I have decided to leave it where it is for now so I can withdraw a larger amount in the future without having to get to the magic £20 for free withdrawal!

I think that is me pretty much up to date. the rest of the day will be spent ploughing through all the rubbish that has landed on my desk since I left Tuesday evening!!

Hope everyone had a great Valentines day. xxx

    Hi Scott,

thanks for dropping by! What I find happens is that I withdraw my balance from PA and the next day get a survey for £3 or more and kick myself for having to wait until I get to £20 again to withdraw it for free! I'm going to do a deal with myself and from now on I will withdraw my balance on the last day of the month in which I reach the magic £20!!

    Good afternoon!
Well, it looks like I got away with just a tyre on my car!! Waiting to see how much its gonna cost me as OH sorted it through a company he uses for work. Mates rates would be good! :O
Just checked my accounts and they all balance with my spreadsheet - so that's good! Had a look at the CC balance and I am hoping it will come in around £650 each for the month - if it does it means I can move more into my car fund!!
Working tomorrow, then visiting my mum, then out with my dad and SM in the evening. I'm driving so that saves a bit!
Sunday I don't think there is anything planned at the moment. If this doesn't change it is going to be a day of serious housework. I really do not understand how our house gets in such a state... well actually I do... but I don't understand how OH and DSS manage it!!
Nothing else to report as it is still 12 days to payday. Oh, but OH has found me a new car... do I want one? No, not really! lol

Happy Monday! After the lovely weather over the weekend, it is grey and miserable here today - at least it is still fairly mild.

Another weekend completed. Was slightly more spendy than planned - but these things happen!! Spreadsheet update and all ok.

OH still going on about this car. I can see where he is coming from in that there is a relatively low number of them in the country (less than 300) and they are no longer made. So in theory it could be a bit of an investment / shouldn't depreciate madly (3 years old already with very low mileage!). We have the money tucked away to cover it and will then repay ourselves... the thing is I was really looking forward to being TOTALLY debt-free and although we would be repaying ourselves, I would still view it as a debt. .. in the region of £12,500!! Eek! As much as I do love the car (have driven one before) and would really like it I also have a real attachment to my current one having had it from new nearly 7 years ago! Hopefully OH will forget about it! lol

Not planning on spending much this week! That's the plan anyway!
