We have a what's irritating you thread, and I think we need a thread for things that have made us smile, etc.

Me - well, we have a puppy who is now 8 months. I let her out this morning and was hoping to keep the door open for her to come in. But it was too windy. I was stood by the door waiting for her, expecting to see her come down the steps.

I then heard a tap at the door. She'd come down the steps, which I hadn't seen and tapped to be let in. She also taps to go out.

Not sure whether it's this thread I need or irritated.

In August I decided to start drawing my last work pension. They needed me to send some certificates i.e. my birth, my marriage and husbands death. I found Andy's death certificate with no problem, but the other 2.....nope, couldn't find them anywhere, despite turning the house upside down twice. I checked every single piece of paperwork I could find in case they'd been mis-filed. But no, no sign.

So I sent off for duplicates. That cost £18 plus they took a whole month to come. And that caused delays with the pension payout.

Eventually it all got sorted. But yesterday whilst turfing out the top boxes of the wardrobe.........there they were, in an A4 punched pocket, stuck to the bottom of a biscuit tin.

I'm pleased I found them even though I paid for duplicates as along with the 2 missing ones I realised Andy's birth certificate was also missing. And that was in with the others I found yesterday.

So now all I have to do is try to work out how the hell they ended up where they did

    Twice smiled today

First was when feeding the birds and I noticed the bulb shoots starting to push through the surface in my garden

Second was watching the moon rise this afternoon

I have been working upstairs since the middle of October, decorating, changing stuff, improving other stuff, doing things that have needed doing for years but have been neglected.

    And.........(drum roll) I've finished!

Now I've got the pleasure of putting all the tools away and clearing up
