We have a what's irritating you thread, and I think we need a thread for things that have made us smile, etc.

Me - well, we have a puppy who is now 8 months. I let her out this morning and was hoping to keep the door open for her to come in. But it was too windy. I was stood by the door waiting for her, expecting to see her come down the steps.

I then heard a tap at the door. She'd come down the steps, which I hadn't seen and tapped to be let in. She also taps to go out.

Seeing the bathroom windowsill for the first time in ages. Then lugging three sacks to the tip.
It really is the little things...

Watching the sparrows in the bird bath. I only get to see a variety of birds at my dad's house as my visiting cat kills all ours

Just FaceTimed DD. I'm with GDS in the USA. He added her when she's getting married. She's sitting at home with the boyfriend!

Just finished chivvying my baby (now 18) into getting his documentation sorted for an ID card.
I prefer the "benevolent mother goddess bring of all good things" stage to this 'banker, chauffeur & concierge' role... Still, he's on the edge of being legal, I'll take what wins are going!

When out with my dog this morning I had to smile at the number of houses with parents screaming at their kids about something. Schools have only been of a couple of weeks and it looks like the kids have run out of things to do and the parents have run out of patience

My dog playing in the long grass
All I could see was his tail sticking up and going like the clappers as he was snuffling about on the trail of something but every now and then he would jump a couple of feet in the air and start again in a different spot

Looking out of the window and seeing my beautiful granddaughter playing on her scooter outside.

She's so leggy. It makes me smile even more when she runs, she's like a new born foal!

I'm picking my 6 yr old son up later.

I haven't seen him since Thursday & have missed him so much. It's been far too quiet

Discovered that collared doves have nested again behind the satellite dish.

They built the nest the year before last and have already used it once this year ( reared two chicks).
