Still nuffink; no signs at all. Dinner eaten without interruption - unless you count Nanny's various rumblings & the less said about those the better.

Hozzy arranged for Woden's Day arvo if the stork don't come afore then ..... so we'll wait and see.
There's a carfull of stuff to take with us from clothes to (extra) crib and baby monitor, so the expecting SIL has been warned he will need his works van!

What an absolutely glorious day it is.
The garden beckons for a post-lunch nap (Yeah, like I should be so lucky! ) which in reality = entertaining DS and keeping Nanny out of trouble.

    Laterers all.

I've been out in the garden. I've got a load of buckets with things growing in them, i wasn't sure if some where plants or weeds, so i've left them to get a bit bigger before sorting out what to keep and what to bin. Just about to dig stuff out of one and, there's a birds egg, a white one, there. It must be using the bucket as a nest.
So carefully put it back where i picked it up from, will leave those weeds and watch out to see if the Mum comes back. I do feed the birds every day, so lots of them come for their breakfast and tea.

LUN - You do make me laugh with your Nanny posts.

A very warm welcome Sam. Do stay a while - as you have always made me laugh.
So many buckets with no holes. It was a good job you spotted the egg.

    I will pop back later.

    Good Morning all
I am grumpy today as I could not sleep last night. It was 28 in the house with all windows open, I was too hot even in my Birthday suit.
Now we have an invasion of ants that somehow came up from the flat below.

Sleazy I am being nosey - which county is Sleazy county?

Have a nice day everyone - I am off to buy an Anteater

Miss Tipsy, oi am not surprised that you woz hot if there were 28 hominids in yer house last night.

Sleazy county? Now there's a question and it depends where I parks me van. In truth it be in Middle Earth, somewhere between LUNcolnshire and Wurzelsetshire. We do have a reasonably nice river here. Maybe we should have a guessing game, but that be all your clues for now .... we did have some ideas of possibly moving to the Isle of Portland, but nothing happening on that front at the moment.

LUN, we are still waiting. *Taps foot*

Tips, you need to close curtains or blinds on the sunny side, and eat ice cream. Lots and lots of ice cream.

Many years ago I fitted ceiling fans in to most of the rooms, and girl did they come in handy yesterdegg. No birthday suit for me, but I normally sleep in jim-jam shorts any road up.

Everything is packed ready to be loaded into the car after din-dins, them we are orf for a well earned mini-break. I expect there will be a picky thread at some point in the near future.

    Huh, no Anteaters on eBay.

Not Portland Sleazy - they have a prison there.
Best keep shtum about your County as Fyffes might start.

Moti are you skiving? I hope you gave hubby a clip round the ear for saying you needed ironing.

LUN will update us later I am sure. Maybe he will tell us what Nanny did next.

I can't find my Raybans - Oh I am in a grumpy today.

    Good afternoonings.

Well we sneaked acrawst the county border without indecent. We grabbed a bunch of leaflets and are now planning our days out in our lovely room. The Hop on hop off open top bus stops right outside the hotel and goes to most of the places we want to visit, and the tickets last two days. Vur an extra fiver we can have a day ticket for a boat ride as well.
It's certainly the weather for messing about on a boot.

We shall head out for a goosey down by the riverside (we know a song about that don't we children) fairly soonly.

Hello's again folks, looks loike you've been and gorn whilst oive been avin' my kip-a-winks.

Thanks Moti, oi have stayeded inside loike on account of the heat.
Misty - Oi knows it has a prison thereabouts, but thought that if oi moight be fortynuff to get me a jobby there, what with me having this unhealthy intrest in chainsaws you see. Could be a new kareea as a guard-a-nah beckoning.
Fruity - not shake a spear oim afraid ... can't say any more 'cos oim afeared of they Gremlins what's lurking in the dark ....

Well oi have faffed around today and didn't look for my tuit on account of the heat. It has been very stressful for me today, what with investing two icy creams. Just waiting for wifey to come home now, cos moi back needs a scratch. Plus oive missed er greatly today of course. Still wagoneering, Fruity, if you passes by Shoire-Hampton on yer trip, give it a wave for I and remembers to go careful loike over that Clifton suspenshun bridge.

I'm on a "flyer" having just dropped DS off @ footie.

    Still no nooz folks.
Not so much as a peep.

So it's looking increasingly like dd being admitted Wednesday t-time.

    Nowm just for Tips ...................
Nanny ........... has "had words" with eye specialist (consultant opthalmologist IIRC) after which both have agreed no further useless eye drops and/or appointments are necessary.

She has some kinda degenerative condition which ain't gonna get better & there is no surgical option either, this was explained to her a few years ago now. She is registered partially sighted & could in fact be registered blind if she wanted to, which she doesn't.
Anyhoos, Nanny gave this specialist what we might politely call " a bit of her mind" for trying to make her use eye drops which he had already said would probably not help and then fiddling about with prescriptions for these in between appointments too.
    She does make me chuckle.

Right, I will probabubbly not be back until termorrer.
    Have fun folks.

My full English breakfast said I was handsome ... it was complimentary.

    I'll get my coat.

We had a loverly wander down to the old docks and then back via the city centre yesterdegg eve, complete with some very nice ice cream by the river. We have already discovered parts of the city we have never been to before. One must always remember to look up as you wander as there is so much to see above eye level.

We shall get the hop on/off tour bus in about an our to take us to a big old boat for our first day of seeing sites, no doubt including a light luncheon or possibly even nuncheon

I hope every all are well and enjoying your day, whatever you be doing. Chats laterer.
