Then more respect for you for not following your parent's ways.

You care because it is the right thing today. Somebody has to care for others or there would be an end to society as we know it.

I have an older brother. If he visits R Mar twice a year it would be lot.

That is sad Fruity, but so many are that way.
I have 7 BIL's only one, my hubby visits his Mar.
I have to say my that my MIL was not the nicest to me before she had dementia, but I am not a person to hold grudges. She always wants to give me a kiss even though I don't think she now remembers me.

Dementia is a horrible disease, but I fear we are dragging the Arms down from it's jolly status.

Let me tell you a story about my Auntie/MiL to try and lift the mood.

She was staying with us a few years ago with her previous dog that was blind. Outside our backdoor is a person-hole cover for the sewer and foul water drain. I often use it when I am pooper scooping.

On this occasion the lid was off while I was on the other side of the garden. Auntie/MiL came out of the house backwards leading her dog because it was unfamiliar with our garden.
I shouted to warn her that the trap was open but she didn't hear me. In the end I had to run across the garden shouting all the time until I managed to stop her just before she fell down the hole.

Can you imagine the call to Dynorod? What is the nature of your blockage?

    It's my Mother in Law!

OMG if it was me, I would be down that hole.

My hubby has joined Facebook, not me, but my new phone was used for the messaging.I have no idea what I was doing today when I made a video call to a complete stranger.

I joined fakebook because the kids insisted. Apart from contacting a friend in America because we couldn't do it any other way, neither of us are fans and generally steer clear of it.
I just hope when you made the call you were fully clothed.

My Lovely had to buy a new 'phone because hers got washed in the sink. Today I tried to answer it whilst it was on charge but couldn't work out how. Eventually I had to rush it to Mrs F and she couldn't work out how to answer it either ... until she realised it was an alarm not a 'phone call.

I tell you, mobile 'phones and pooters will never catch on.

It took me ages to fathom out how to work these new phones.
    I kept cutting off calls.
Yes, I was dressed, but the caller didn't understand why a female was calling from a male username.
It is invaluable for keeping in contact with friends in other countries.
I am like a kid with a new toy now.
I will need to recycle all our old phones - I wonder if there is a badge for that.

I wonder if there is a badge for successfully using a new fangled 'phone, or a badge for mucking it up in a memorable way?

I think all new 'phones should come with a teenager in the box to set it up for us.

Well it is now tomorrow all ready, so I am going to do a final tour of the parking forum then head off to bed.

Thanks for keeping me company again. It is always a pleasure.

    G'night m'dear and take care.

    Hellooooo peeps

You thought you got rid of me didn't you. didn't get any relaxing time to join in yesterday my MIL had other ideas for me. If there isn't a drama in this family she will make damn sure she creates one. Couldn't post whilst I was in a mood anyway.

Sorted now, I have lifted the carpet and swept all of her carp underneath it Cant be doing with a DH who bows down like a 2 year old to an interfering controlling woman. ( except me of course) Maybe one day he will grow a pair and stand up for himself.

Anywayz the sun is meant to be a blazing today. Managed to get me a little sunburn last weekend and wont be doing that again.

LUN - has the stork arrived yet? if its anything like our postal service we'll be waiting a while yet.

Fruity - I totally agree about having a teenager to help with phones, I am useless and have only just discovered facetime. I here talk off snapchat, Instagram etc it goes right over my head

Tips - I too have a freezer that I call my dinner surprise keeperer. We never know what's in there until I decide to venture in there or what you will find. So we call it surprise dinners. Its a big chest freezer and you have to lean in it to see anything. I'm just a pair of legs hanging out when I try to reach the bottom.
    That picture of the dog

I wonder if this freezer is big enough for MILs (now there's a thought, runs off to find tape measure) hehehehehe

Squeezy - I get the impression you missed me. If you like gardening I know of one that could do with a tidy up. We could job swap for a week. Ill scrub for you if you weed for me.

also all this talk of alcohol, I don't drink very often. Many years ago in my 80s clubbing days I could quite easily put some away to the point where I would go to bed and the room was spinning I used to wait for the bed to spin past and then jump on LOL. Special occasions I may be partial to a brandy or 2 but NEVER wine ewwwww

Hope you are all sharing this luvvly sunshine with me and have a nice weekend planned.

Good morning all and one vrum a sun drenched Riviera.

Nice to see you back moti, sorry to hear you are having MiL troubles. I'm lucky that mine is lovely, but then she was my Aunt for many years before she was my MiL and we had a good relationship before then. Well ... except that she wanted me to take both her girls off her as a job lot.
I did not take her up on the offer.

More loft clearing today, and I may make a start on hacking my hedge. I shall endeavour to pop in here for updates on Stork News.

    Take care and chats soonly.

Monrings all. I'm on me tabby, so apologrises for any miscakes that I didn't ontind.
Moti (I likes Fruity's name for you - Rosie, so unless you tells oi otherwisely, I shall refer to you as 'Rosie') . Did I miss 'ee? Well I misses all me pals 'cos I don't have none lately. I should tell you that to me, gardening is sinusimus with 'bare minimum', so oi don't think that I be the man for the job. Also, seein' as me moluscular cleaning lady went awol, I was forced to scrub me own kitchen floor. Think oi'll try it agin, found many interesting things down there - now I nose why Bobby likes sniffin' around.

Fruity - I gets on with the outlaws greatly too. Seeing as wifey is tied up with the inmates in her skool, I gets to go away on me own term time like if I wants to. I has a great time normally.

Well I doned my shopping via bus, took home and unpacked and now I just had my medical rations with food & coffee in Wuthering Heights. Laterer I intends to formulate some kind of vegetarian curry, but would like to inform you alls that I am still on my wagon for the foreseeable.

Well, that's all my faffing for now, will pop by later I hopes.

We are bothly taking a well earned break from loft clearing and I am having a small bottle of bier sans alcool. I kid you not, that's what it says on the bottle.
For a non alacamafrolic beer it isn't too bad. A friend of mine brungs the back for me from Belgium when she wisits her dochter.

    Afternoonings all
You all seem very cheerful today, well apart from Moti with a little MIL irk.
I was hoping to cross the road and take a walk along the beach today, but now the other twin has this virus.

We are all on tenderhookings waiting for news from LUN.

Sleazy well done for your abstinence from alcoholy.
Sleazy cat your little Bobby will keep an eye on you. Gosh I nearly typed an extra O instead of a B - I need more tea.

    I'm starting to tire now.

I shall do just a bit more after a break ad then stop for the day.

Our Sky box is now playing up. Yesterday we could still access recorded stuff even though the dish signal is blocked by scaffolding, but today we can't access the box at all.

Oh well, we shall have to watch Dr Foreman and the Rugby live.

    Still no noos!

I has beed shopping for strawberries, plus Sunday dindins - fancied pork so a nice bit of loin wiv cracklin' ready for Nanny tomorrow.

Tips, the photo of strawbs looks kinda nice but I prefers mine just wiv extra fick cream if pawsibubbles. Though they does also go very nice wiv goosegogs in pies/tarts AND they makes a scrummy bread'n'butter pud if ya use brown bread.

Wots the bettin' that as dinner is cookin' .....................

Fruity, your Sky box needs threatenining with a length of that toobing. Strangely our box was susceptible to interference & blinking too - but that changed when we went Freesat & got a Humax box a foo years ago. IIRC we had to re-set it about once every 2 or 3 months, just turn it off & leave it a few mins before re-booting it.
I'm wondering how big your loft is ................... as ours here would take about ten minutes to clear!
Because there's nuffink in it - it is easy to get round but the in Sue lay shun is way above the beams, so you can't see where to walk or put stuff without risking collapsed ceilings. The only bit is the walkway to the water header tanks & they is that well lagged that it's impossible to tell what they are if you don't already know.

Sleazy, there is no way could I do our shopping by bus.
And not only because there's only two buses a week here!

Moti, if deliveries are like OUR postman makes it'll arrive clad in shorts and left behind wheelie bins with a red-trimmed card shoved through the door even if someone's home!

It's been a real scorcher here - now I is orf into the garden again wiv more ickle lights plus sum birdy-spoiling bits.
    Laters all.

I got all excited when I saw a post from you LUN.
I keep telling you it will be a Wednesday.
Extra thick spooning cream is exactly what I use.
I have roast beef for tomorrow with yorkies and thick gravity.

Fruity I am glad you have had enough, I really don't want to read that you have been overdoing things.

Sleazy using a tabby today -the problem is getting it back in the box.

I have been mooching today. The beach is full of kiddies with all manner of inflated things.
I walked back home through woodland walk and got bombarded with pine cones.
I felt like chiken licken thinking a piece sky had fallen on me.

    Oh LUN, still no noows.

Our loft is simply an A shaped hole the length and width of the house with roofs and floor. No obstructions, no Matilda Tank, nuffink apart from a couple of aerials, except all the stuff on the floor collected over the last 35 years.
One of the first jobs I did when I bought the place was to make the loft hatch much biggerer, with corresponding sized hole of course, and put in a decent sectional loft ladder.
Next I covered the central section which is over 3m wide with flooring grade chipboard then covered the rest with the panels from two old kitchens.

At one time I had two motoring bicycles up there. Now it is half full of MFTE's stuff as he doesnae have room to store it at his place. It will be subjected to a serious culling on Monday as he is coming tomozz for daddy's day.

I've just put the small rocking horse made in the sixties in my workshop for later restoration, but the big horse will have to stay until one or both kids has room for theirs.

There currently be hairy planes without a-cause of a nearby hairday. Sumpink big is up making big noises at the mo, but there are too many houses in the way to see it.

Okey dokey I now have some pics of my artwork.
    When shall I post them?
I paint in two different styles Pre-Raphaelite style and portraits of bygone idols - Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. Photos are not the same as seeing for real.
    But they do sell.
