Ellie was overweight until we discovered she had an underactive thyroid. She is on nearly as many meds s me, but at least her weight has started to come down.

I can't eat as much as I used to. When I was younger I never put on weight until I was in my thirties. Now I have trouble keeping the weight off.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister.

    All my screwdrivers are cordless.

Although sometimes I loose too much weight.
I am on NO meds at all and for my age, I suppose that is good.

    More rain.

Thankfully both cousins in our household had a good night's sleep.

Housework for me today. I'll have you know I can recognise most labour saving domestic appliances around the house from as far away as ten paces, and have the mental and physical wherewithal to successfully operate them to my Lovely Cousin's satisfaction.

Grey here too but rain has stayed off, which is just as well because I has dunned loads of laundry washings.
Wiv better half still unwell, see. Quack will supposedly check on her chews day - I wonder if that will happen?
Of improvement there is none, she tells me.

So as well as opening packets cooking tonite I has dun dinners ready for tomorrow too, which as it is not a "nanny-for-dinner-day" will be my very special spag bol, salad & garlic ciabatta.
Very special coz I putz loadsa red vino in it.

Ah, bless LUN - so organized.
I agree with adding wine to food. it just brings out the flavour. The cooking evaporates the alcohol - so suitable for all.

Now I must root around the freezer and decide on dinner.
    Chocolate eclair for afters.

LUN, sorry to here Missus LUN is still a short well.

I have just been up in the attic with my Lovely Cousin to work out the practicalities of extending into it to install a bedroom and en suet baffroom. It looks doable.
That way, if/when the need arises, we will be able to move the Outlaws in, giving them the whole of the first floor as their own "granny flat."

Now we need to find an architect to tell us how to do it.

Well I have faith that she will get better.
I wish for that as much as she - but perhaps for more shellfish reasons!

Thank you for your kindnesses but (like you & yours Fruity) this is something which regularly afflicts her.
This time hopefully more will be done to look at why.

You're a brave man Fruity, architect & plans for outlaws.
Me, I'd be looking at emigration!

On a serious note it is exciting, being involved with design.

Tips, my sentiments on booze in food entirely.

Crispy sweet & sour here followed by a rather scrummy torte of orange & passion fruit for me.
I have maked chocolate toothpaste for OH & son (as posted in another thread), something from better half's younger days made in an attempt to cheer her up a little.

    Well I must away.
As warned earlier, I may return.

Your poor Lady LUN, I hope ENT can sort out the problem.
I cooked nothing exciting - Just steak burgers and french fries.
    Roast Beef on the morrow.
Yes LUN I clicked on the link on the other thread.
I am amazed you find these recipes.

I have to say on a final note, that I am VERY impressed with you two.
What better husbands could any wife wish for.

I found the recipe after beloved mentioned this from school days, a little while ago now.
It has gone down so well with both beloved and son that she sent her brother a piccy - and now he wants the recipe too!

'Tis too sickly sweet chockolatty for me, and I said before that I am "meh" about choccy at the best of times.

    Roast beef eh?
Like wot we had larst week, yum.
As MIL has dinner here alternate weekends I tend do a tradishunal roast those weeks, though I think next weekend is our moozick festivul weekend.
I am hoping all are betterer and the whether too.
(Whether it rains or whether it doesn't. )
I bought new wellies for son just in case - Star Wars ones of course.

    Toodles, anon.
