    raining Datsun cogs.

    I'll get my coat.

Ellie is a soggy goggie today and doesn't want to go out.

It has been very wet here too, so wet that son needed no shower following his fitba' yesterday.
In fact he was probably more dry when he went swimming with skool today.

I am pleased your beloved shows signs of the AA/RAC Fruity. (Recovery, see?)

    Unfortunately mine does not.
As I threatened - and as soon as nasty web viruses allowed - doctor-like person was paid a visit. This resulted in a hospital trip for an X-ray, and a funny bit of paper officially declaring her a danger to public health (or something similar).
    Meaning no work for her.
If no improvement in next foo days an "urgent" ENT referral will be made, they say.

The fishy pie I made for dindins seems to have gone down well - and pud (wanna guess?) was designed to encourage vitamin intake.

So my stumps are worn to ....... er .......... shorter stumps.

(Reminds me of a Monty Python Holy Grail sketch, the last few minutes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhRUe-gz690 )

    Laterers all ............. unless I falls a-zeds.

Good gracious LUN, I hope your lovely improves.

I have been to Pompey to visit MIL in Nursing Home. Not a good visit, as she was SO sleepy.
I had a Scotish dinner today - Curry

The Link, ah there is a new film of King Arthur. It was being premiered in London last week.
I saw an interactive Lego place for the kids. I will find and post if you are interested, for Son of LUN.
We have had NO rain here.

I'll catch you on the morrow Fruity. Glad things are improving for your lovely.
Mmmm wet dog - something about that smell.

I'm partial to a good curry whereas OH cannot stand spicy.
    Shame.
    More for me.
I am taking time off to encourage her convalescing on the morrow for a Chinese "all-you-can-eat" for lunch, which she does however enjoy.

King Arthur - hmm, don't think I will be going to the cinema for that. It looks like a daft bit of fun that I might or might not watch if it came on telly but pay to see it?

Son has already advised if the interactive Lego btw.
    He doesn't miss much, him.
Who btw has shaken off his cold with remarkable alacrity, as you often do when you're young.

    I will say this quietly:
So far I have avoided the lurgi other than an occasional sniffle and odd sneeze.
Long may it stay that way.

    Have a great evening all.

    Good morning all and one.

My Lovely is still showing signs of improvement, though she is still a short well. (Not a tall well.)

Although it's not the best way to do it, the up side is that she has lost weight and for the first time since she was thirteen, now weighs less than me.

Alas I am going down with some form of lurgi now. I have developed The Cough. It is a regular thing and has been going on for over fifteen years. Never mind, I shall take my meds, and the stuff to counteract the unpleasant side effects. Hopefully I won't need dynorod like I did due to the side effects of my pain meds after one of my hoperations.

More rain today. No response from the council about the blocked road drains so both sides of the road are flooded again. I suppose I shall have to call them to see if they got the online report.

Because of the lurgi, we had to postpone our mini-break to the big city. Considering the weather, it has actually been a blessing in disguise. One of the reasons for going was to do a lot of outdoor site-seeing. Well tis rebooked for next munf, so hopefully the weather will be betterer.

Hopefully other halves from norf to sarf will all recover soonly.

Take care alls and chats laterer.

    Good Afternoon.
Tis murky, tis wet, tis shooping day.

We have one of those Chinese buffets - good value for money - Enjoy LUN.

I hope all illness is soon gone. Fruity take care - you have had enough going on this year.

I saw a trailer for the New King Arthur film - NOT my cuppa tea.

    Toodles till later.

I saw that the KA film has had bad reviews. I wonder if there is any mention of Glasto (the original Avalon) in it as our one true King and Mrs Guinevere are buried in the grounds of Glasto Abbey. Honest as I am driving this canoe.

Alas I can no longer eat takeaways due to the amount of salt added to them. Never mind, tomoz I shall be making home made pizza. I need to nip out and get some strong cheddar or mozzarella if the rain will only stop for a few minuets.

I tell you want Tips, pick up some decent strong cheese for me will ya, and toss it over the border fence for I. Ta.

I have some Zumerzet brie and some cambazola, but they are not easy to shred or crumble onto a pizza, so I would prefer some strong cheddar. We do have some low fat shredded cheese that would do at a inch, but it won't be as flavoursome.
Never mind, I'm sure I can find some other tasty things to put on it if necessary.

I'm really enjoying the mildly interesting. It is quite ... mildly interesting.

Ellie would be afraid of those.

Well it has been very wet here too.
No floods though so no canoes needed - though if anyone is offering a yacht ............

Tips, you paddle in the sea at the seaside.
    Tootsies.
    Sea.
    Rolled-up trousies.
    We do it often.
If you paddled with your canoes it could be dangerous - and certainly uncomfortable because canoes is bigerer than shoes.

Who mentioned mango juice? That & guava are sons favouritests.
Cheese too BTW, especially cheddars - I call him my cheese monster.

Well dindins was yummy and successful - in that beloved OH has slept since then. (Did I say I took a day off? )

    Sleeps is good, right?
Wonder if she will sleep tonight ................

Tips says "as true as riding a donkey" and wonders what I say?
    Well, I say "Huh" ???
I don't have sayings (well okay, apart from "cheese monster" like above and yes, probabubbly loads more) - I prefer actions.
You know what they say, actions speak louder than words.

Son is was sitting in front of large plateful of macaroni cheese, a favourite of his.
Now I will go clean up.

Cheeeeeeese Grommit! There are too many wot I like to list, but Zumerzet brie be at the top.

I once met a lady cheese seller whose hubby was a Cheddar cheese turner for the Cheddar Cheese Co, in Cheddar. His job was to turn the Cheddar cheese from Cheddar that was being aged in Cheddar Caves, in Cheddar Gorge. It was the cheddaryest Cheddar cheese you could get.

My Lovely has improved a bit more and is planning a ten minute trip out to pick up her Mum from Slimming World.
Unfortunately The Cough has got me so I am alternating between heavy duty prescription cough medicine and lactulose syrup to counteract the side effects.

I managed to contact the council by knocking on their telegrammataphone to report the flooding. It turns out the online system had failed to record my earlier attempt to report it.

I tell you, these pooters will never catch on.

I am sure I saw some skelly bones the last visit to Cheddar caves, with a gruesome story. I will have to Google as I really can't remember.

    Cheese and caves?
Methinks t'would be sons idea of heaven.

It has been sunny-ish here too, enough to dry the jungle-length grass enough to hack mow it.
I took another day off - nothing to do with OH being unwell, I just fancied being idle.

Which did not work becoz as well as trudging up and down soggy ground as wot I has been doodling today, it came wiv laundry and much cleaning under direction of my beloved.
Bedding changes, beds turned & the works!

My beloved though is the same.
    But bossier.
Thankfully (in some ways) lack of voice persists so sadly sometimes I don't hear quite what she says .............

I now smell of a luverly mixture of bleach, assorted cleaning liquids and mown grass.
Not very fetching from where I sit; I hear the bath calling.

Fruity, I am trying to avoid the dreaded cough.
    Still.
Though for the last few days my chest feels not dissimilar to how I imagine feeling after a few packs of ciggie things.
An odd splutter but no more so far.
I'm thinking that maybe more whiskey may discourage development of said cough?
So I will give that a go.

I'm liking the pic and the sentiment, Tips.
Though from here it looks like being a busy weekend; I may temper that with alcohol intake.

    Laterers everypeeps.

Yes, alcohol seems to be able to help along most weekends.

I have to tell you, as a young girl both my friend and I, were given Rum and lemon, by her Aunty, when we had sore throats. Goodness these days, the police would be at her door.
