It's a lovely day still by here. It's lawnmower weather now but I am still forbid to use it.

Lovely to leave all the windows open today
I am wondering what to cook for dinner tonight. Or maybe get a take-away.

I bet Ellie is running round the garden.

Which springs have you been cleaning? Perhaps the ones on your Inspector Gadget shoes.

Unfortunately Ellie has so many allergies that she has to be supervised when she is in the garden otherwise she will eat something that she isn't supposed to. One of her favourites is cat poo.

Ooh I could just fancy a take-away - but I just had dinner!
    Spring greens need a wash?
Is Tuesday not whites day then?

I mean, I sort colours ........ but NOT into greens; browns etc etc.

I mowed the lawn just before dinner Fruity; I my arms were longer or that inspector Gadget fella had any idea's I would be more than pleased to assist.
It has been another glorious sunny day here, too - hence the mowing.

Please, PLEASE don't get that chappy to sing - I get the feeling he would be worse than me!
The only people I ever found who appreciated my singing were the Japanese.

Because my voice seems to suit punk - to cries of "ahh, sugoi" (amazing).

Nope, them Wurzels will do for me.

    Have a great evening all.

I am a soul music kind of girl really.
Well I enjoyed my Lamb Biryani

Let's hope tomorrow is another day

Lamb biryani is one of my favourites as well. Thursday was always takeaway night at work when I worked evening shifts and we had a most excellent Indian restaurant a few minute walk away. They did a variation of the biryani with a naan bread.

My all time favourite Indian meal though is lamb pasanda.

Well it's a very soggy morn by here, so no haircut for the grass today.

In case of interest to anyone, I'm building a Nordic cooking fire pit and getting very excited!

    This book was the inspiration;

From the book cover ^ you see a rough quick stone fire, but I am building a permanent proper stone structure using sandstone paving slabs I had left over, surrounding breeze blocks and using fire cement as an internal render.

Looking forward to having people round whereby we each chose from the Nordic / Swedish style raw foods to cook.

For example I will be doing 3 day cures / marinades of Salmon and beef steaks which you cook over soaked boughs of Juniper

What started as a stone fire pit has resulted in my ripping up half the garden to create this sense of a Nordic forest with pine trees, Juniper bushes, lots of sand and rock. Last night I went out collecting wild moss to add to my newly made bog area.

    Am installing separate Swedish fire logs, which you burn from the inside out, for decorative purposes and to provide light and heat (they are nothing to do with the fire pit itself);

The old back is a bit dicky!

I will post up some images once done.

Wow Conrad, that looks fandabidozy. I shall await my MSE invite to drop through my letter box with bated breath.

It makes my gas Barbie look pathetic.

I like the Swedish log idea as well. I've never seen them before.

My neighbour has a fire pit but it is more for heating and focal point that for cooking. He sunk and old car wheel into the ground to make the frame for it.

Well I'm going to go and make a cup of Golden Monkey Tea Co vanilla black tea whilst I contemplate my inadequacy in the outdoor cooking ability.

    SsshhhH!
I'm not really here .............. or at least, I'm not supposed to be here.

I'm loving the looks & sound of your Swedish bits Conrad.
Hope the weather stays fine enough to enjoy it.

Fruity, the sun is TRYING to peek through here but you're right, much too damp for haircuts.
Besides which sadly my arms haven't grown longer overnight, so I'm still no help to you.
I hope you enjoy that tea.
Now I must skedaddle before I am seen.

Hello Conrad, so nice to have another visitor.
Can I have an invite also - pretty, pretty please.

Well all the talk of music the other day! A Band of rain came last night.

I have been to Pompey to meet up with friends, for the longest lunch ever!
Heard the awful news via a call, as we are SO often in London.
    Take care all.

    Hiya one and all.
A bit late today, & a flying visit at that.

See what happens when I get the chance to post through the day (Nah not really, just circumstance. ) - I don't often get the time.
Well not to have a quick peek plus post, IYSWIM.
So I might get an anonymoose look if I'm lucky but not usually time to post too.
    Hey ho.

Such a sad business, that which is on the news.

The bangers are in the oven. I've just popped in for a quickie between sausage turning.

Shopping, as in the weekly wire trolley grand prix?

I feel your pain, although I am excused shopping duties at the moment.
