All this talk of wind and rain, carrots, silly string and beer - sounds a lot like a summer barbecue!

A mild breeze here but still very mild and more importantly dry.
typical Lincolnshire, really - though not of the past few years which have been wet.
In fact the only difference in seasons over the last few years has been how warm (or indeed cold) the rain was.

Are we seeing a return to normality?

In the weather of course, not on these forums.

    Silly string, cars, often food.
    But no cherries as yet.
    Have a lovely evening.

Well it's raining by here today. I was supposed to have bought some beer and lemming juice yesterday whilst out, but only came back with beer.
At least I got my priorities right.

I shall have to brave the elephants if I want some juice for my lunchtime fish.
I married my cousin. I had to...

I nipped out between heavy showers and bought the juice of a freshly squeezes lemming, and bought a couple of books in the local Hospice charity shops.

As far as elephants go, you probably know that there are four.

Earth, water, fire, and air, all around us, everywhere.

    The sun is now shining.

I've just watched the Six Nations Rugby final. It was a most excellent game, and a good win for England.

After a day of near-constant deluge it is a glorious evening.
The roads were so wet they could almost have been canals - yet is milder here than foretold.

I thought cake (or similar if I'm completely honest) was statutory with every meal, Fruity?
Ever since whoever-it-was (supposedly some French person, NOT Marie Antoinette) said "let them eat cake" because there wasn't any bread left.

Cold pork mash & pickle, Tips?

Mind you, I wouldn't be at all surprised if you thought similar about haggis which I adore.
Cold pork of any description ............. even the thought turns my stomach.
But so long as you enjoy it.

I like this thread; you learn so much.
And I do like to expand more than my waistline.

For example, I didn't know that you could milk (or squeeze) lemmings.
Mind you, I sometimes ponder just who first thought it would be a good idea to try and milk a cow.

Or that there were four elephants; I thought Earth, Wind And Fire were most excellent musically in their day and did not realise there was an extra member.

    Have a great evening all.

Evening all. I am sure there was-------Dixon of Dock green!
Earth wind and Fire - one of my favourite groups, and September is when my birthday is.
Now those naughty twins of mine! They have eaten all the coffee and walnut cake
Whenever I ask them who was it, they ALWAYS point at eachother
So I had to make do with a chocolate and cream desert
