A quiet boring day to be honest with you. How about yourself? Tips have you noticed that Halloween appears to be steroids this year?

No I hadn't. But I am sure the threads will be with us here at the Arms real soon. Oh and I haven't seen any of the creepy clowns. But even the kiddies theme park at Hurn near me has taken the clowns away.

It's more of the fact there's been advertising for it since at least the 1st of October. The adverts appear to have decent budgets too. The Asda one seems OTT.

Traditionally where I think there was just a week of advertising before the night came, there's now a full month for it.

It will be nothing in comparison to Christmas though.

I often wonder are big business really struggling that much in these economic times. Or is it sheer greed.

I was impressed seeing Tesco refusing to pay a 10% increase on some products. Advertising a lucrative business - very good pay.

Hi Pyxis nice to see you back. I didn't know that about Tesco.

I have to tell you all about my son Lewis, he is the one with problems. I took him to the care home the other day. As we went in the staff said, that it was great that I was there for Dougs birthday. Lewis said to his Dad today, that he thought the care home was a strange place. Why asked hubby, because they celebrate dogs birthdays he said.

Tesco rant over. Off to do some self harming DIY.

I shall be in the Arms late tonight if anyone wants to put a small glass of lemonade behind the bar on a tab for me.

Excuse me whilst I put the heating on, I'm expecting a friend later and she doesn't like a cold pub.

It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.
