    The 'Save 12k in 2014' Thread! 11th Dec 13 at 8:30 PM
So, the title is pretty self explanatory, but this is the place to be in 2014

In 2014, the aim is to save £12k (or, any other amount if you like!) from 1st January 2014 til 31st December 2014. I know it's early, but it gives you the time to plan for how you are going to do it!

    RULES:
    - This challenge starts on 1st January 2014 00:00 and finishes on 31st December 2014 23:59.
    - Everything saved MUST be done between these two dates.
    - Any interest gained during this challenge on your savings can be counted!

Feel free to sign up but, please only sign up if you intend to go the distance - the thread for 2013 started off great and then lots of people disappeared

For me £12K is a good figure. I struggle to meet the target but, it IS a really good incentive to see how much you can stash away.

    Thanks again, Slowlyfading, great thread.

I'll go officially for another £10,000 though I'd like to get £12,000, and in addition I'm going to clear my mortgage.

I've been following the last thread with keen interest and would definitely like a go this time round. Aiming for £12k which although achievable - will certainly be a challenge! Thank you.

    Save 12K in 2014
Don't know what 2014 holds in store for me (financially), though I doubt if I'll be able to save as much as I did this year (2013); This was a one hell of a bumper year! I already have plans on spending my hard earned money next year, so I'm not even sure if £12K saving is even achievable next year. But, I'll give it a go - £12K please SF.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you out there. May 2014 be a prosperous year for you all.

    Regards

    MT
