DLA, Disability Premium and ESA

My friend has just been awarded DLA (middle rate care, low mobility). We live in Northern Ireland and DLA claims are been accepted here up to October.
Anyway now that she has been awarded this benefit how will it affect her other benefits. I've read tat she may be entitled to the disability premium, and that it many also increase her ESA. Is this true? I've no idea what her current ESA is, but it would be
Income-related, she doesn't have to sign on so I'm assuming it is the Support group
Assuming it is true can anyone give me a rough idea of how much it could be worth. My friend is single and living alone.
Now that she has DLA does she have to claim any increase or will it happen automatically?
As always many thanks for your answers.

SDP is around £56 per week, and as she lives alone she should qualify as long as no one claims carers allowance for her,it should happen automatically but no harm in giving them a call to get it sorted0

To receive the severe disability premium your friend would need to request an IS10 form and return this - it is a very very short form basically requiring a declaration that they live alone and no-one claims CA etc.
The form needs to be requested from JCP.0 -
Thank you benefitbaby, you have really helped me out with you telling us about the IS10, took me weeks to find this out, thank you. I thought SDP was finished with as i called ESA then Income Support about their top up i was told you dont get it when on ESA but ok if i was on Incapacity Benefit, its all rather confusing and i doubt i will ever be able to suss it out.0
