Time taken to transfer an ISA

I recently asked the Cheshire B.S. to transfer my ISA from the Yorkshire B. S. to themselves and completed the required form and waited.
That was on 19th April and I'm still waiting!
Is there any requirement for them to transfer ISA's within a time frame and if so what is it or is it just a case of waiting?
When asked their excuse is how much work they have in the ISA "season" which I find unaccceptable.

Shouldn't take that long at all. I sent a transfer form off for my ISA to transfer from Santander to NatWest on May 13th and it was completed on May 22nd.0

"The banks have agreed to a 15 working day guideline for the transfer to take place, so you should begin to receive interest within this time. If it goes much over 15 working days, it's worth complaining to the ISA provider."
But the Cheshire is snowed under?0 -
A couple of years ago when Barclays had a bonus offer I transferred from Halifax. It took 5 weeks and a lot of phone calls/visits to branch. They paid an amount of compensation so yes it is worth complaining.
I recently transferred to Santander to take advantage of their interest rate. It took 5 days. No complaints at all...0 -
Thanks to everyone who responded I'll call them again tomorrow.
What I don't know is whether it's the Yorkshire or the Cheshire that's dragging its feet but I'll start with the Cheshire.
Thanks again.0 -

Have a look on the ISA sub board. There are several threads detailing Cheshire's shortcomings
Good luck getting it sorted

It's Cheshire, they are a shower - we'd had many problems. Ring and chase them.

I requested transfer of ISA from Cheshire to Santander around 29th March .......the money has only been credited to my Santander ISA today. I have been ringing up regularly (both Santander and Cheshire). The system is too slow!!!0

It's unlikely to be "the system".Have a look on the ISA sub board. There are several threads detailing Cheshire's shortcomings

if it takes longer than 15 working days both parties have to pay interest from that point0
