affordablewarmthgrants.co.uk contact??
Hi.. Can any find or knows a telephone number for affordablewarmthgrants.co.uk or know anything about them.. They have done an assessment at my mothers and got all the info they needed ( I did have to explain that she fit the criteria as the guy didn't understand standalone benefit and was trying to say she needed one from each category) her boiler is not working and she has had no heat and hot water for weeks. Am I better using someone else? Emails just get an auto response .TIA

No contact information such as a telephone number or physical mailing address.

I do think you would be "better using someone else"

Agree with the poster above, site has a suspicious feel to it and they should not be trading online without showing a contact address and telephone number.0

Hi.. Thanks.Looks like I'm going to have to start the process again.
It's for my mam who is a pensioner.
Quite worrying now that they have been out to the house to do the assessment. After the original online application they rang to make the assessors appointment very quickly.
Any recommendations in the NE area.. I'm now thinking they are all dodgy!
I must admit I thought it was a main place that dealt with all applications not loads if companies doing it. Am thinking of a new one:beer:0 -

I'd just like to add that now the NZ website is back up
http://www.business.govt.nz/companies
The Registrant of that domain (Internet Private Equity Ltd) is not known to the NZ authorities (nor the UK), so who knows where they are registered ... or if they even genuinely exist.
Edit:
Found him.
Now known as ONLINE ASSET PARTNERS AUSTRALIA LIMITED since 25 Oct 2012

Thanks for that.. I also found online Asset Partners when doing some digging.. From what I can gather OAP are helping the companies that employ them to get more leads and the Affordable Warmth Grants is another string to their bow.. Maybe they are selling the details on to other companies.. Who knows?? All very worrying when there has been someone in my mothers house gathering info we thought was for a grant.!Back to the drawing board. Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

I have contacted ESAS who said they are getting a few calls from people who have had assessments by various companies and nothing has happened after that.I have to ring them back tomorrow( when I'm with my mam) they will take info and confirm with DWP about her benefits then it gets passed on to one of the main 6 suppliers who administer the AWO scheme.. Normally the one who the fuel supply is from..they may then subcontract any work out. Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

Hi My mother paid £199 as a 'refundable' deposit to a M D Williams supposedly a rep for Affordable Warmth Grants company in June following a cold call about her potential eligibility for Government help towards the cost of installing a new combi boiler. She did say that she was not in receipt of Pension credit but may have been in the past. The salesman said that there was just a one-off refundable payment of £199 due which she paid by cheque. She received a application form copy which he had only partially completed with her name and address and for receipt of cheque. A week later she received a call from the head office to say that they had discovered she was not on pernsion credit and so not eligible-my mother said that she had been until the pension rates had increased in April this year. The guy said that he thought she would be eligible and would start the process. She then had another call some days later from someone else to say again that they had found she was not on PC and again went thro the converstaion she had had with both previous men. She was told the work would be going ahead in AUgust. Nothing has been heard from this company since. My mother is over 8o and registered partially sighted. She did not tell any of her family until 2 weeks ago as she felt she had been very foolish. I have emailed their office from details on their website and always received an automated response saying that a team member would be calling me. NOTHING-I have reported this to the TSO and also contacted the Energy Saving Trust who advised me that noone should ask for any deposit.0
