    That's it really. He's annoying.

His voice... the way he talks a if everybody's got these magical leftovers in their fridge....

And, just now, he opened his fridge and took out two HUGE bars of chcocolate, then said the recipe needed 100g of chocolate....

    He's just annoying.

And now he's off to his fridge to add some creme fraiche to his cakey thing.

He just called them "... transform your unwanted bits and bobs....." and his recipes have ingredients you'd have to go out to buy, specially.

    ANNOYING!

This is what he cooked this morning http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/black_banana_cake_52982

Reading down that - and assuming I had 2 spare bananas - to be able to make this "looks easy" cake, I'd need to:

Buy butter, buy two sorts of sugar, buy hazelnuts, buy vanilla extract, buy chocolate, buy a third type of sugar.

Then, following the method/advice: Buy baking parchment, buy a food mixer, buy a grinder.

And it still takes 1.5 hours from start to finish.

I do sometimes. But today I only have leftover slices of Muntjac haunch (honestly).

TBH I think they'll go in a sandwich.

There is a lot of roadkill on the Exe Valley road in Devon/Somerset, mainly pheasant. My OH has picked up a lot and is a dab hand at making pheasant curry. He has to wait until I am out of the house while preparing them

Unfortunately, with this being cow country, they are regarded as pests.

I just have a smile when I envisage how much damage they done to the car that hit them

A full grown male badger can leave you with your car written off
