As our local store is convenient I tend to drop in weekly as they sell 400g wholemeal loaves on 2 for £1. Milk is also still good value and I like their frozen veg although the packs get smaller and smaller. Sometimes their fresh fruit and veg is worth a look and then there's the toilet rolls!

For most other things Aldi is far better value.

I dropped in and was surprised to see how much prices have increased.

I would imagine they have not increased salaries of the floor staff in line with the % increase in product prices...

Birds Eye breaded Cod fillets £1 a pack
Yes, as per title. Pack of 4 , 480g, £1.49 per box, or buy 2 packs for £2.00.
The SEL stated ANY 2 packs for £2 so I suspect there may have been other options ie. Battered , but my store only had breaded., and it's very nice!!
Non-frozen current deals include Surf washing powder 120 wash size for £9.99, and Nicky loo rolls are 3 packs for £10 (3×18).

I see it's been nearly 3 months since I found anything worth a mention on this thread.......F/F no longer have the bargain prices they used to. Who wants to buy 4 pks of frozen veg for £5 when single packs are cheaper elsewhere and fresh for less in Aldi and Lidl.

Pack of frozen salmon 4 pieces £3.99, I used to get the Iceland ones 4 for £8 all individualy wrapped but now they are packs of 2 frozen together, no good if you live alone.
The farm food ones are a little smaller but at a £1 a portion good value.
