Question Banks that Open on Saturday?

I need to open a Current Account and need a bank that opens on Saturday.

I know Abbey and Halifax do, any others?

Many Thanks,

I think that A&L are only open Saturday morning (at least the one in Bath is), but you do still have Post Offices.

PS. We do seem to have two threads on this.

I think most banks have one branch in each large-ish city which will open on a saturday morning, at least. The websites will tell you. Where are you?

Wy do you need the bank to be open - most of them have some sort of "pop your cheques in" machine for deposits, and ATMs for withdrawing (can't remember the last time I turned up at a bank counter).

most of the banks around me are open till 1pm on a saturday..LINCOLN. I use Natwest and due to my work I always have to use them on a saturday, never had a problem with natwest, no matter what city/town I am in.

Why do banks close at 4pm on week days? They do in my town anyway. Rest of the high street establishments don't close till 5 - 5.30pm.

All the branches of banks I have dealt with in woking (Halifax, A&L and Barklays) are open till 4pm on saturdays, which I found odd when I moved here. I assume other banks are open similar times as otherwise they may lose business.
