The benefit payment dates for Christmas and New Year are at

https://www.gov.uk/how-to-have-your-benefits-paid

If the date is not listed then benefits will be paid as normal on that date.

Payment dates for Child Benefit

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/childbenefit/...k-holidays.htm

Tax Credits:

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/pa...k-holidays.htm

For tax credits, payments due on the 27th are paid on the 24th and payments due on 2 January 2013 are paid on December 31 2012.
