Not sure of answer at the moment - will update when found
He died in 1547 so I think the answer must be A. 1534.

Anyone agree.

I made it 15 but for a bauble and a mug I'm not sure if i can be bothered to listen again and recount

Sometimes (three times I think) they were singing "wassailing" rather than "wassail". I don't know if that counts. So I counted either twelve or fifteen.
