Am I entitled to a full refund 25th Jun 12 at 11:23 AM
    Hi,

I brought 2 dresses from a website who shows as based in Portsmouth costing a total of 150.00. When the dresses arrived one was badly made and the other was not only badly made but it wasn't the dress ordered and didn't even look close to it.

I have contacted the company who have advised me that they will give me a 25% refund and that I should keep and sell the dresses. I have advised them that I don't think this is acceptable however they won't budge. I have only been able to contact them via email there is no telephone number on the website.

The items were paid for through paypal on a credit card I have contacted both paypal and the credit card company who have both stated that there is nothing I can do.

I just wondered if the advice i've been given by paypal and the credit card company is correct and I should accept the pittful offer of 25%, for 2 dresses that can't be worn let alone sold on.

Any advice anyone could offer would be gratefully received,

    Thank you

    disgraceful service
I didn't even want to give this site a star! I am currently in contact with trading standard and will be reporting to Google to have this site removed and banished permanently! I ordered a Navy blue dress for my engagement next month and they sent it to me in bright Green! There are also sequins hanging off by a thread! I paid £117.33 for the dress and not only is it the wrong color, the quality is disgraceful! I have contacted them regarding a refund and they will not send me an address of where to send the dress back to, they have taken it upon themselves and decided that it will probably cost too much to send make and may get lost in the post, therefore they are sorry and will give me £20 and i keep the dress! I don't want the dress and the fact they are insinuating that the dress will get lost makes me wonder more! They made the mistake and i have to pay for it?! I have asked 5 times for an address and they avoid the question! They have ruined my engagement and i am absolutely devastated because not only do i not have a dress but i also don't have the funds for the dress! When i spoke to trading standards today they told me that never trust a website with no contact number or address, this website also doesn't have a sign saying 7 day consumer, money back guaranteed although when i knew know different and looked at the return policy it looks so legit! NOT! PLEASE anyone do not use this website, the other positive feedback must be fake! even when you email there live chat, they dont respond, when they finally respond its from Hotmail accounts. This says it all!!

I think they also pass satchels off as leather, just received one as a gift, very shoddy, looked up the address from parcel and found this thread. Anyone got a recent link as to where they sell the satchels? Thanks

It would seem they're still up to their old games. I bought a dress on eBay, it was relatively cheap compared to what others have spent, but it didn't fit and I wanted to return it. Low and behold, they suggest they give me a partial refund and I either keep the dress or sell it on. Why on earth would I want a dress that doesn't fit or go through the hassle and possibly pay fees to sell it on? They then said I needed to return it to an address in Shanghai as they don't have anyone at the UK warehouse. I deliberately bought the dress from a UK seller on eBay and made sure I could return it. I stated this in my response and asked how they sent it to me from the warehouse if no-one was there... I demanded a full refund with a UK return address otherwise I'd be contacting eBay. They've responded and given me the address in Portsmouth, I'm returning the dress today so we'll see what happens. I hope it doesn't get "lost" in the post.

I have just got a parcel from the same address but I did not order the item. Has my name and address on it.

I suppose under the consumer act I can treat it as a gift..

They are also a front for Amazon sellers Arbinet and iSunny.
Ordered dining sets from both companies and received completely different make and model both times.

    Ebay sellers operating from this address includemechanic_warehouse, lanyan2015, wow-mart.inc, winwinexpert, wzaetrade, xx-moto, superitem4u, jakohome, lyon-palace, tinsan_furniture, furniturer.

Other Amazon traders include LL TRADER LTD and GFKK.

This gleaned from a 5 minute search, I wonder how many more would appear on a closer inspection.

FWIW this address is also linked to delllaptopbattery .com - spotted when looking for, unsurprisingly, a replacement battery for a Dell laptop. The site text shouts 'dodgy Chinese website' with its awful 'English' and poor cutting and pasting! Be warned.

Another name for them on eBay is dxdeal007. i bought a GPS, DVR, WIFI, front and rearview mirror for my son on a UK only search and, unfortunately, they were the cheapest and had the best rating of approx 99.7. After about 6 weeks, now with a rating of 98.4, I've finally been refunded today and my "immediate refund when they receive it back", took 7 days. They asked me to return it to China and would refund my postage too but my son's local Post Office refused to allow it as it has an internal battery n Chinese customs won't allow it through. Their response to my telling them this was to go to another Post Office or a delivery company but not to tell them it has an internal battery which I completely refused to ask my son to do. They then finally gave me the address everyone in this topic were given which is how i found what they've done so far. This topic is the very first one on Google UK when the address is searched for so I'm guessing it is being clicked on a lot. Oh n I'm going to carry on trying to get my £8.55 recorded, next day before 1pm postage back (Post Office said it can only be sent by the quickest delivery option due to the internal battery) but I very much doubt I will get it now

Having read this and other blogs about this address the user name changes from Dresses Online, Stonebridge UK Ltd, Laptop Batteries, AcerLaptopBatteries, Stone Bridge United and that's just the few I found in a 5 minute search. I have just ordered batteries, one arrived the other didn't and guess what, no response from any of the email addresses. The best I can ascertain is that the phone number is a high rate line. The common thread seems to be 'Stephen', with the family name changing on a regular basis. How come after 4 years this address has not been properly investigated, at least by the Customs and Excise for imported Lithium Ion batteries?

Looks like this is now the address for ebatterys.co.UK
I unfortunately ordered a replacement battery for my Samsung tablet from this firm. The advertised price was £26.98 which was quite dear but they offered a 3 year warranty etc. I went to the PayPal site to pay. The price I thought I was paying was £26.98 however once I had completed the purchase I noticed I had somehow been charged £48.97. They had charged me for 2 batteries. I also noticed the text above the order was in Chinese. I immediately got on to PayPal who say they will contact ebatterys to ask for a refund for half of the sum. A quick google for ebatterys reveals a tale of woe from purchasers. Their website gives the impression they are a British firm however purchasers report that returns have to be made to China and there seem to be a lot of customers who wish to return goods. They say they have an office in Portsmouth, incidentally the unit from which edresses operated from. The only company registered there is Stone Bridge United, a freight company with one Chinese director and an address in Hong Kong. I received no confirmation of purchase or order no from ebatterys. I expect to have a long battle now with PayPal. A warning from someone who thought he was web savvy to always go to reviews of sites you ate not familiar with before making any purchase.
