Please forgive the corny thread title inspired by The Who, but this post on the bloated 'how do I make the most of it' thread prompted me to initiate a new one...
    Hi Everyone,
I haven't been here for a while, and am interested to see discussion of how much is being generated, rather than what to do with it.

It seems to drop below that figure before it reaches 13.55 (optimum orientation). Final figure was just over 14kWh.

BTW, there was an item about solar generation in Germany on the radio today; you can stream it here:

I just realised something as I looked at yet another disappointing #Os generation figure: I should be looking at realistic figures, and "1" doesn't mean "average."

for e.g. my PVGIS estimates 74kwh for Dec. That's ~2.4kwh per day, which is 0.44 O's in my case.

So, ultimately, I should be happy with anything over 0.44 Os, rather than 1+ Os per day!

So week 1 will be the best, then week 2, with weeks 3 and 4 (straddling the worst day) will be the lowest weeks, but of course averages are impacted by weather.

For January, you have the opposite of early Dec, as week 1 is the worst, and week 4 the best.

So before June, the early weeks may look disappointing, and after June the early weeks look really good v's daily averages. So much fun!

The best bit for you is that you'll start low, then see bigger and bigger gen as 2018 rolls along, hopefully well into the 30's kWhs.

I got a lovely 0.25 O's yesterday, hard to spin that as a positive, except it's better than nothing.

Right now I get excited when I see 1000w being produced, and absolutely cannot believe that figure by all estimations will more than triple at some point in the next few months...

I wish batteries were cost effective... I'm going to hate "wasting" all that surplus.

Long time since I've reported in, hope you're all well?
Your typing is better Mart, hope the truck wars are over?
November ended up @ 115% of target
A grey day today, 0.17 hoes for me.

But now I'm really gonna throw something into the mix...
I've found my purchase of $7.35 of bitcoin in November 2011.

    Minted yay!

But I've tracked them down to moving them to mtgox exchange in 2012, gone forever

Just as a kick in the teeth, I've just looked at how many coin I could have bought instead of the panels in March 2013.....

If I had done so, then I'd have around 175 bitcoin, with a rough price today off over £1.5M 🤢

On that happy thought, and after a really long day, I'm off to bed!

See you all in 3 months again 👍

    Hi All

Reading the above post reminded me that I hadn't updated for November yet ... so here goes ...

... It was below average, no more than that & there have been 3 Novembers worse so far which was surprising considering the number of really dull day's there were in the month ...

Anyway, looking at the figures for the year to date was a little disappointing ... last calendar year was the 2nd worst we've had so far, but this November continued a pretty dismal sequence - every month in 2017 has recorded generation which is worse than the equivalent in 2016 ... .... not good ...

    Hi Again

Just to bring the party season mood down a little ... our total generation for first 5 days of December just about balances against the last day of November .... yippee ...
