Laminate flooring - no expansion gap, do I need to have it re-layed?

The previous owner of my flat clearly used a cowboy to lay the laminate flooring - it's hideously peaked in the middle of the room(s)where they didn't allow an expansion strip.
I have concrete floors and the boards layed on top are glued together, rather than lock and close. Can the beading be lifted and a strip sawn off in situ, or will I have to have it all ripped up and completely new flooring layed?
Before you ask, I went down the route of trying to track down the offending builder, until I found out he'd gone back to his home country of Libya!!
Any advice greatfully received!

You can do this with the right tool. I have a Fein Mulitmaster which would do this easily.
You would need a guide to cut against ( a length of wood whatever width you wanted to remove) and just butt it up against the wall or skirting.
Obviously making sure the resulting gap is still of a size that will cover with more beading.Herman - MP for all!

After you have trimmed it all round the edges throw a party and invite all your heaviest friends round for a hoedown floordown . The Bosch Multimaster is a tool well worth having anyway for all the clever things it can do !You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0

Thanks everyone, I'm relieved to hear it can be fixed without resorting to laying brand new flooring
