    This is an interesting cat that I'd not come across before.....

    It's a Kurilian Bobtail, from the Kuril Islands, a Russian chain of islands between Russia and Japan.

    The anomaly originally developed due to the isolation of the islands, but nowadays are bred to retain the characteristic.
    You can get long- and short-haired varieties.

    That has certainly been true in my case. I remember when I first got my cats, I spent a lot of money on a lovely cat bed, cat toys and a cat tree. They were only interested in the packaging and plastic bags that everything came in so I donated all the stuff to my local cat rescue charity as the cats never showed any interest in any of the good stuff!

    I love the cat on a wigwam

    I bought one of those cat beds that you hook over the radiator once. I don't think she ever used it, but the fleece came in very useful when we moved house, it was just the right size to take a mirror
