Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Yey my cash back has cleared into my bank account so sent it straight to barclaycard bringing it under the 2k mark

It's hubby's birthday today so I have money in the bank account for that need to go get him a cake from Asda so will do that one the way to toddlers and I need to drop off a bag to the charity shop as well as its taking up space in my cupboard

Money is getting tight but I get paid tomorrow off one of my parents and the rest pay me on Friday just in time for comic con so it's a case of making do with what I have in my purse which I'm sure I can do as don't really need anything except bread milk and a bag of chips

Super chuffed my barclaycard is under £2k already

Off to make Xander his packed lunch xx

Well it's Tuesday which means it's a spendy day went to playgroup £2 kids had a blast then we handed. Bag into the charity shop so it's out of my way, then it was off to the bank to put my wages in that my parent gave me early

Then it was off to homebargains and spent £2 on juice for me £1 on razors for Bob toilet paper £2 then it was off to Greggs to get the kids a sausage roll each £1.60 then it was off to Asda to get hubby his birthday cake £10 three ww meals for me £3 and three tins of carrots 60p so a spendy day but I can deal with that xx

Taking hubby out to weatherspoons for his dinner have budgeted £40 for this which isn't bad for five of us

Off to do a Yougov survey xx

    Morning

Checked the bank sent £6.55 towards the barclaycard

On a more serious note I'm off to abbies school this morning because a gang of five girls have decided to start on her and have threatened to kick her head in had issues with these girls before and police got involved last time so I'm going up there to get this sorted out once and for all as I'm not having my daughter coming home looking down xx

It's now officially a police matter so need to leave them to it...............collared one of them told them I have patience and I will wait til they are 16 the colour drained from her face

Well went to recorded my rounding down of the accounts but the thread I follow has disappeared and I genuinely feel lost so I'm going to stick it on here

Sent £7.36 towards the barcalycard so this brings my total for the year £4885.06 / £6000

I know I should be putting more today as its pay day but next are having their sale tomorrow and I'm looking for a mirror so if I don't find one I will put the money in the account tomorrow or if I do find one I'll put what I have left of £95 into the card if that makes sense no point putting it on a credit card especially when I'm ahead of schedule with this card xx

Off to get ready for playgroup x
