Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

well my trip to aldi was a success spent £7.65 on bread, tomato sauce, mushrooms, grapes, 2 packs of raisins, chips and got my tin foil from poundstretcher for £1 so under £10 Plus i walked there and back so far i have 9664 steps on my fitbit

need to do the Avon run tonight so far i have £467 in orders lets see if we can hit £500 that would be a fantastic start to the year with regards to Avon. Means i should earn £125 in commission.

In other news I've lost another mindee but I've already had someone enquiring about the space so fingers crossed something comes of it. On the plus side I'm getting paid four weeks notice so don't need to really worry about til the start of February

The wall situation seems to be moving again the insurance company phoned to say they've sent a email to the builder so they've asked if I could chase them up........good job its a family friend who's doing it

off to make the kids dinner before we need to go out in the cold to collect the avon books but everyone has been texted to say we are coming out to get them organised lol

Well it's been a interesting day today

Might have filled my Friday space will find out for defo on Monday

Set up playgroup £2 20 kids attended, also collected a few more avon orders will update my avon total tonight

Spent £3.40 on two cheeseburgers for the kids for their lunch, after lunch I dropped the kids off a toddler the nursery

Walked into the town had a nosey in new look spotted a couple of tops I like but I have a 20% off discount card but it doesn't start until 14th January so I'll hold out til next week and I have my vouchers think I still have about £35 so won't cost me a penny

Put my wages in the bank and bought hubby head and shoulders for £1.99 from homebargains so that's all my spends for the day so not too bad I guess

The home insurance phoned me again today to say the builder still hasnt phoned them back........how many times do I have to say he's deaf so they'll need to get in touch with him via email. Managed to get a hold of him and he says he'll fill it out at the weekend

So whilst I was on the phone the girl say because it's taken a certain amount of time to resolve my complaint and she said the service I received wasn't adequate they are putting £75 in my bank account next week can you guess where this is going yip that's right it's going straight into my Halifax card so as soon as it clears I'm transferring it over is it's money I won't have missed

Closed my ratesetter account which means that's another account gone forever and also phoned my mortgage provider to ask what rate they could give us when it's due for renewal.........they said they can drop it by 0.35 eh no that's ridiculous so it's ploughing on with getting all accounts sorted for the remortgage at the end of March ready for the end of April xx

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

Sent my avon order away last night managed to get £593 in orders so should gain about £129 but after books it'll be about £120 commission that's a fab amount for the first book of the year

My poor wee Kk is not well poor wee soul got up at midnight came in to my room crying and then promptly ran to the toilet to be sick plus he was burning up he end up in bed with us which meant a rubbish sleep for me and hubby

Made it to weight watchers tho last weight in was two days before Xmas and I've managed to stay the same still half a stone to lose tho hopefully by the end of February it'll be gone we shall see

Nipped into lidl for two bags of chips, 3 bottles of Diet Coke, a cookie for Kk , huge block of cheese, yoghurt raisins, cold meat for hubby's sandwiches £13

Nipped to the butchers spent £28 on a huge 5kg chicken breasts and 20 burgers that'll do us a good wee while as even in lidl three chicken breast are £3.25 that's expensive whilst a big tub from the butchers was £20 and has between 24-29 pieces in it defo a saving now I need to try and fit it into the freezer

Hope you're all having a fab weekend xx

    Afternoon

How are we all on this miserable cold Monday

Got up early did a hours worth of ironing need to do the rest later as hubby is borrowing my iron to take to work probably won't get it back might need to start researching irons as my gran says I do more ironing than a Chinese laundrette ?????

Started work a thing 8am set up playgroup £2 and 16 kids attended and boy was it super noisy

Kids are eating their lunch so thought I would jump on sent £3.05 towards the Halifax card

Finish work a thing 5pm tonight hope fully I'll get the ironing done after that

Yesterday was a spendy day, sent my deposit for our Florida park tickets........bye bye £150 but I've had that money set by for months

Took Abbie to primary to return her Harry Potter mug that I got her for Xmas which was broke I didn't notice when I wrapped it ...........ended up spending £40 got Kk two tops and a hoodie £9, got Xander two tops and a shirt £5 Abbie got a Disney stitch top and a Harry Potter pen £7.50 got myself a top for Florida £4 and hubby a might ducks top £8 and on the way to the checkout Kk spots a super fleecy toy story blanket and asks for it for holiday wee buttmunch cost me £6 so I defo got bargains

Also had to nip to Poundland and spent £10 on little bit then £1.20 in Wilkos for ibuprofen...........need to stay in the house

So I will be reigning it in this week.....it's always spendy at the weekend when you've got your family with you isn't
