Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

    Evening

    How's everyone???

It's been a funny Tuesday.......didn't stick to my normal routine think that's what it is

Started work at 9am hubby took the day off today as we had kks hospital appointment so my wee mindee came with us......they had a blast in the waiting room as there was loads of toys and the appointment ran 50 minutes late he's to go back in four months for a check up but they seem to be not too concerned about him but this is the time of year when his health starts to go downhill

Spent £16.59 on lunch for four people at the hospital canteen which I guess isn't too bad

Dropped the kids off at nursery and then nipped to lidls for diluting juice and bread spent £2.97

So not too bad in the grand scheme of things

Sent £10 towards the Halifax card wish it was more but I have the mortgage coming out next week .............boo xx

    Still amazing progress though Abba!

Remember if you're not happy with what they've said at KK's appointment you can ask for a second opinion x

    Morning

Had a slowish start to my morning.........one mindee off as they are loaded with the cold but I still get paid and my other mindee didn't turn up til 9am (they are playing mums and dads with the baby dolls )

Had a avon customer give me a late order was £60 worth so I'll gain about £12 after I've paid postage so put it through god knows when it'll get delivered tho never had a order in that late

Ordered kks tablet from very was £79.99 down to £49.99 so snapped it up as they had it in his colour this should be with me on Monday money is in the bank for it so once it arrives I'll just clear the account

Got a few things on watch on very as they have flagged up as due to being reduced as I need another Xbox one controller as only have one controller with the console and it's a joint present for the boys

No money sent towards the Halifax today feel guilty madness I know

Won't finish til five today and I have another childcare meeting with the council at 1pm to fill up my Monday Tuesday Wednesday afternoon slots so I've got the paperwork organised already just need to tidy up the living room whilst kids are having lunch xx

Need to go to matalan after I've finished work to return xanders slippers I got him last week as they've burst at the back so I think I'm just going to get him slipper socks as he's rough on any footwear

    Thanks peeps

Signed up another little one for 6 hours a week through my local council so I've decided the money I get from the mindee that's Leaving in four weeks time will be going straight towards the Halifax card so that's £60 a week guaranteed to hit the card..........think I'm going to push to get the Halifax under £4K by the end of the year it's a major challenge but you all know what time like

    Evening

Omg what a mega eventful day.......left me fill you in

Got Abbie fall out boy tickets for her and her friend had to buy three tho as it wouldn't give me the option of two ffs thankfully abbies friend is halving in with me ......phew still cost £113 tho but it's budgeted for and it's not til march but she doesn't know she thinks the concert has sold out .......surprising her before she goes away for the weekend at the moment I have a dramatic teenager but doing this I turned up late to playgroup thankfully my friend set up for me.....she's an angel

Delivered over £100 of orders this morning, sorted out the snacks for playgroup helps with the arts and crafts then went to bakers spend £5 on three rolls and two drinks

Then it was back to the house for lunch before I took the kids to nursery........dropped off two more avon's orders came home and had a migraine from hell decided a nap would help, jumped into bed checked my phone and just as I did my gran messaged me saying she's broke her thumb.........cue me rushing about running up to her house and getting her in the car and into a&he

Turns out the wind caught the car door just as she was getting out And it's caught her thumb but she thought it was a scratch until she looked at it properly........the door had caught her finger that bad that it ripped the nail bed from the bottom of her thumb and And skin under it, hospital had to remove the rest of her nail and stitch her skin underneath it (boke.......the lovely doctor showed me the bone) and reattached her nail to see if it encourages the nail to regrow me and bob had to tag team each other as I had kids to collect from the school so he came up and took her home. She's ok she's all bandaged up but she gave me a fright

Meant to be finished at 5 but got asked for a extra hour and my mil still hasn't collected the boys for their weekend away can see exactly how my Friday night is going

I've got four boxes of avon to get rid of tonight as well as take Abbie to the cadets for her weekend away xx

Sent £7.91 towards to Halifax got £50 sitting in my purse for the Halifax need to get that transfered over

Getting my hair chopped tomorrow so excited getting three inches off it

Hope you all have a fab weekend

    Evening

How are we all.........hope everyone is ok xx

Started work at 9am this morning managed to put a wash on the radiators and another wash on whilst the boys were still sleeping

Went to playgroup (free) as we had to switch venues went via bus £4 had to take the boys Xbox one back as one of the controllers wouldn't work can't complain a PS3 they replaced it and even synced it to the console

Picked up a PS3 game for the boys as they completed the first one but I had vouchers in my purse so it didn't cost me anything and I have still have £7 left on the voucher

Nipped into semi chem and bought juice and on my way out I saw the brand of aftershave my hubby loves so spent £10 and I've tucked it away so he's can't find it

After toddlers we nipped to homebargains and I spent 89p on bread 99p on a Disney bag 69p on potatoes and 39p on onions and £1 for a cheese roll from Greggs for Kk

Did the nursery run then it was straight back to start the next shift decided we would go on a bus trip to the butchers got a 5kg box of chicken for £19.99 and a pack of 20 burgers for £8.20

Came home and we played a while before her mummy came and picked her up

Rushed up to the school and picked up my after schoolers then picked up the nursery kids then it was off to the post office to pay first avon invoice then nipped to the other local shops and picked up my very parcels

Sausages are in the slow cooker and I need to go peel my potatoes for the mash and we are sorted for dinner

Got Nother big avon order to get rid of tonight I've let the money in the cupboard so I'm not tempted to spend it then I'll defo decide what to do with it can't feel a cheeky Halifax payment coming up we shall see lol xx

Sent £3.73 towards the Halifax got nothing else in my bank but one parent I sent still due to pay me tonight .......here's hoping xx

Off to peel the potatoes xx
