Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Omg why have I not posted in three days just been manic crazy busy as usual

Collected the first round of avon orders last night so far we have £385 in orders

Started work at 7.30am will finish at 5pm kids are away playing upstairs so thought I would pop on whilst I sit on the stairs listening to what they are up to

Set up playgroup today 20 yes 20 kids attended and Monday them was two screamers my head was bursting towards the end.......why do some parents think it's not acceptable to look after / discipline their kids.....one three year old had a newly toddling toddler In a blooming choke hold and her response was aww she's only cuddling her ffs so spent £2 in playgroup

Took Kk for his usual Friday roll at the bakers spent £3.35 on two rolls had lunch did the nursery drop power walked to the doctors to hand I needed kks stool samples then popped into next picked up silver glitter letters for my Xmas tree £2 then into smyths got a £10 gift card for my mindee then nipped into asda for butter £1.95 and a birthday card £2

So a bit of a spendy day.........

So I've decided that half the money I get from college will be going in to my savings for Xmas so I don't need to stress about finding the money for my kids xmas xx

So once my student has paid the £150 outstanding it'll be getting transfered straight to my savings and it won't be getting touched xx

Sent £5.14 towards the Halifax card hoping to have more money to fling towards it this weekend we shall see xx

I've got the Friday feeling so I want my house sparkly for the weekend but I'm really sore so we shall see how I get on

Now don't overreact. The little darling was just giving a friendly choke hold. I bet the other child was very happy with it. Some parents eh. You've got to love em.

    Afternoon

How are we all did you all have a nice weekend ???

Today I got up, had a shower then got organised for playgroup........the weather here is horrific the wind is so strong then when the rain comes it's caranage with two toddlers

Got Kk pancakes from the bakers cause he slept in £1.52 for his breakfast then set up playgroup £1 came home after it finished and gave the boys their lunch.......they've built a den in the living room and whispering away so thought I would jump on

Sent another £24.50 towards the Halifax card getting there slowly but surely would be nice to get it into the fours by the end of the month highly doubtful but I'll try my best.

Sourced out a Xbox one for the boys Xmas £165 for a second hand one plus you get a two year guarantee from CEX so that's sorted for the boys Xmas so will need to buy it and store it away for their Xmas and that's their main present out the way as it's for the both of them then I'll just need to get Kk his new tablet and Xander his first smart phone for their Xmas and they are sorted........I want to get Abbie a laptop for her Xmas as she's got exams next year so this will come in handy.......then there's the usual clothes chocolates pjs.etc but we will be going to the outlet centre during Black Friday weekend in the hope of bargains so gives me time to save

Off to take the boys to nursery xx

    Evening

I've got a headache that won't shift with painkillers

Well today started work at 9am not too bad jumped on the bus £4 went to playgroup £3 kids ran about like loonies was catching to another parent and may have found Abbie a maths tutor as she's struggling a bit

After toddlers popped into homebargains and got black bags 99p and baked potatoes 55p

Got the kids back made lunch took all three to nursery actually missed my wee sidekick as it was her first day at nursery think I missed her more than I missed Kk when he first started naughty mummy xx

Jumped on the bus and spent £7.52 on six bottles of diet cola from lidl...as well as cold meat diluting juice and yoghurts

Came back home got a quick drink and was back out picking up the kids from school and nursery

Had a surveyor come round regarding a claim we've put in for our boundary wall as it's got a large crack in it due to the local housing associations boundary fence being broken and banging against my wall so it's in the house insurance hands now xx

Need to drop off a avon book to one of my customers but I'll be lazy and drop it off when I pick Abbie up from cadets later on

Sent £3.34 towards the Halifax card so still going in the right direction

Looking forward to a early night so I can get rid of this daft headache xx

hi rachel24 thanks for reading must have taken you ages

    Morning

Been up since 4.30am due to the silly rain and wind

Started work at 7am they're all eating their breakfast so jumped on

It'll be a spendy day today

Sent £400 towards very halving my balance this will be cleared at the start of November which means that's one item off my tick list that the financial adviser wants me to pay off

Also sent £13.51 towards the Halifax as well and we down in another hundred bracket

Will be heading to our FREE dance class today at the community centre then I need to nip to the local shop for curry powder for my beef curry as got hubby to cook a joint of beef and I've made hubby's and xanders sandwiches with it and I'll put the curry in the slow cooker ready for tonight

Seeing as we will have no kids tonight.......Kk goes to my mils every Wednesday night, Xander goes to my grans for his dinner and keeps her company and Abbie goes to her volunteer job we have decided we are going to lidls and do our monthly shop as well as b&m for my tins so need to make a list of stuff we've ran out of, the freezer isn't so bad so hopefully it won't be too bad on the purse strings xx

So he wants the very account paid off which has £399 remaining, the argos card paid off which has £330 on it.........these two accounts were used when buying my new kitchen appliances when I did up the kitchen and I want to pay off hubby's phone finance just so I can close another credit account down
