Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

I don't use buses now but I'm always shocked at the cost, even for the shortest journey. I only used to pay 25p to the town. mind you that was 1986.

I hope you all feel better soon. Poor DH's ear sounds painful.

    Afternoon

Meeting with financial adviser went well.......he still reckons we can get a remortgage but I need to pay off the Halifax which I'm working towards and my very account which is sitting at £700 but I was hoping to have that wiped out by end of December anyway so it's on

No payments sent towards the Halifax as my account is sitting perfectly rounded plus I have the car payment coming out of my account tomorrow........I think

Started work a few 7am this morning finish at 3.30pm got the avon run tonight at 6.30pm tonight so far we have over £500 in orders so here's hoping it's a good run for orders tonight as any extra pennies over £100 commission will be going towards spending money for comic con in Glasgow on the 24th abbies just discovered someone from Arrow will be there so she's practically peeing her pants with excitements bless her xx

Had two surveys from PA today got £9.45 confirmed and £4.49 pending going to be using the survey money for Xmas presents
