Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Sorry I haven't been on........just feeling sorry for myself

Hubby's past caught up with him and we nearly got a decree (ccj) against us all because of a blooming token payment nearly 5 years ago so nearly £900 put on my credit card later it's sorted and we won't be getting the decree against his name which would have scuppered our chances of remortgaging next year

Was so angry at hubby as he was blaming everyone but himself for the debt ...........there was plenty of shouting and crying on my part but it's done now so onwards and upwards

Have balance transfered the debt money onto my 0% card as I got a deal through on my barclaycard plus another £600 from my Halifax card this deal expires on June 2019 but I will aim to have this clear by April next year

Hubby is on board with rattling the credit cards after our holiday which is in 18 days plus we've agreed any overtime he accrues will be going into the holiday pot towards the Florida holiday which needs to be paid by April next year

Still being frugal.........although we need to get the bus to toddlers today.....normally if it's just me and Kk and the weather is like this we just have a day in but I need to replenish my first aid kit as some items are out of date so that's the plan today xx

We have about £240 in the back up funds hoping for £300 by the weekend as hubby started his new job yesterday and is really enjoying it so that's half the battle xx

Off for a shower hope everyone is well xx

Sounds like a stressful time abba, but like you said, what's done is done and at least you don't have the judgement against him.

He's on board with the cards too, so between the 2 of you I'm sure it will be knocked out in no time! x

    Hi everyone

It's a new day so I'm on it..........transfered just under £5 to our back up fund I have just under £250 there so not too bad

Why is it when you're trying to limit your spends you need to spend my printer ran out of ink so I've reserved then at Argos so need to collect them today after the nursery run

Also need to get safety chains for the front door from toolstation, juice for Abbie for school and bread..........should get this under £20, I hope

We are off to our free dance group then hopefully the washing on the line will be dry and I can get another one out

Working 7am til 5.30pm so a full shift wish I had extra shifts this weekend tho as I hate knowing hubby isn't getting paid this week but he might be entitled to holiday pay from his previous job but we ain't holding our breath as his boss was dodgy xx

Off to find a shoebox for Xander who's decided at the last minute he needs one for school pain in the butt this boy is always last minute.com

Will be a LSD so far only spent £1 today at playgroup but need to get diluting juice and curry sauce as we have loads of beef leftover from our roast dinner last night so turning it into a beef curry for dinner tonight plus we have loads of veg to use up too, no waste

Need to go pay my avon invoice after I've dropped Kk off at nursery then come home and make the boys beds up as wee Kk had a accident last night so beds were stripped first thing this morning

Was reading parsniphead diary and it motivated me to get off my bottom and gut my hallway this morning whilst the boys were still sleeping, feel better for getting it done as have been stalking with it so it's all nice and tidy just need to hoover the carpet and wash the floors but will do that tonight whilst hubby is away on a homer

Made £27 on eBay last night selling a xanders old shorts so will put that's towards the back up fund once everyone has paid just waiting on a couple of buyers paying will organise the parcels tonight ready for drop off tomorrow on the way to toddlers xx

Only managed to transfer 93p over to the back up fund now have £353 in there

    Evening

Got up with hubby at 6am got a shower........kids were still sleeping so logged onto ac and made over £6 not bad for a mornings work so I've have £7.50 confirmed and £5.20 pending

Bit of a spendy day..........£25 in homebargains but I ran out of a lot of stuff like shampoo, conditioner, butter, bread, baked potatoes, Father's Day stuff, dairylea dunkers, etc

Then off too lidl spent £18 on a top up shop still forgot my diluting juice tho

Got rid of one avon order ......still 4 to go they will be gone tomorrow

I'm 80p away from a £25 cashout on pureprofile.....it's taken a blooming year to get to this point, think once I've cashed out I'm shutting that account down as it takes too long

Sent away the cheques away for playgroups day away so at least that's it organised before we go away on holiday xx

    Morning

Done the banking, couch payment came out today only 3 more payments I think then that's the couch paid off

Got paid off a parent yesterday so rounded down the account and sent £40 towards the back up fund...........we have just over £400 in there go me

Today's plan is to go to our free dance class, will get the kids a roll from the butchers and then try and take Kk to nursery..........he became hysterical screaming he didn't want to go which isn't like him, finally got him to talk and he says nobody plays with him my heart broke so I'm going to see his nursery teacher today to see what we can do. I think it's because he says used to playing with much older children whilst he's with me that the younger kids at the nursery think he's strange he's only for 7 days left of nursery before we go on holiday so we will how we get on today

Need to go into town later as need to get coffee for hubby and juice for me ..............oh and diluting juice can't forget that

I have a music childminding course to go to tonight's 7pm til 9pm so it's going to be a long day as have a extra shift today, started at 7am and will finish at 5pm

Should be getting rid of the rest of my avon orders today the. Hubby gets the suitcases down from the loft that was the deal, clear the room of all avon orders and he's gets the suitcases down so I can start packing

    2 days til holiday

Still got abbie and xanders suitcases to pack but I can do that today as I'm not working this morning so it's just me and Kk time this morning

Boys are needing their hair cut today so that's daddy's job after he gets back from work to take the boys and that's something else off our to do list Xander looks like he has a blonde straight Afro as his hair grows out the way

Need to go out after I've dropped Kk off at nursery and get bread, head and shoulders for bob and pick up abbies birthday present from the post office

Still going with the surveys I have £22.50 confirmed and £13.40 pending on PA won't be touching that until I get back from holiday will see if I can get £40 in total before I go away can't believe in a couple of weeks I accrued more than than I have doing pureprofile yet I'm still 60p from a payout and its me over a year so I think that's getting shut down once I've reached payout
