Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

Argh stupid Easter holidays have mucked up the money situation ffs hubby's wages won't get paid into his bank until Tuesday and my wages are the same as well so I've not hit my £800 target but it's not my fault but I have surpassed the £750 target I set myself roll on Tuesday where I can put my wages to the holiday fund xx

    That's a pain but £750 plus.

Perhaps you can add the bit missed onto the next target.

Woo hoo order has been restored, the bank is showing my wages and hubby's so I've transfered my wages over to the holiday fund and we are over the £800 mark

Hubby did a homer last night so took £60 off his before he spent it told him it's going to the holiday fund plus I have three extra shifts this week and I've been paid for them so half of this is going to the holiday fund so by the end of the day I will be over the £900 mark how exciting I'll defo be hitting the £1000 mark this weekend

I am working 7.45am til 5.30pm today so we are off to toddlers and need to do a few bits in the town whilst I'm there as well as get some weight watcher meals as hubby is trying to fix my brothers car for him so need something quick and easy xx

So hoping I do need to spend too much today as we are due a big shop this week so would rather much save my shopping energy for that will see how long I can stretch it out for

I'm waffling now so I'm away to get my wee Kk dressed...........schools and nurseries are back today normality at last

Well I put hubby's homer money and half my extra shift into the bank and we have officially hit £900

Bit of a spendy day nipped into homebargains got my fairy non bio £4 a suitcase for Kk for our holiday £6 and 79p on disinfectant.

Then it was into toddlers £3 via the bus £4 and we the. Popped into farmfood for juice for Abbie £2.50 diluting juice £2 and 5 weight watchers meals £5 and then bought the kids sausage rolls for dinner £1.80 so not too bad I guess.

Sold a beauty I won at a Easter raffle two weeks ago someone is coming round to collect it tonight for £14 so half of this will go towards the holiday fund as well

Got a massive pile of xanders clothes that I need to sort through so just going to do that just now to see what can be sold on the fb selling pages and or eBay or charity pile any money made on these clothes will be all put towards the holiday fund also xx

Monz might be right i might be getting this target by the end of this month it's amazing how it all adds up xx

Woo hoo sold two piles of xanders clothes made £22 on that so will be sending £11 from that towards the holiday fund and made £15 on that beauty voucher I had won a total easter so another £7.50 is going towards the holiday fund too so £18.50 will be getting transfered in a minute

And I've cleared space whic is always a bonus plus I donated a huge black bag of clothes to the kids school for charity and I've defo created some space so I'm happy with that.......might get abbie to tackle her clothes

Tonight's task is to tackle more paperwork for the funded 2 year spaces that the government are rolling out so best get that sorted before I forget as it's to be in for 21st

    Morning

Transferred a large payment over the the holiday fund here's a break down of the following:

    £18.00 Sales on fb
    £35.00 payment from parent
    £50.00 Yougov
    £92.36 tax credit credits

Total £193.36 transferred over to the holiday fund bringing my total to £1099.23

Working 7.45am til 1pm then 3pm til 5pm plus I need to try and tackle another question on this paperwork I'm required to do for these funded sessions, took me three hours to to 4 questions so might see if I can get some done whilst I've got a gap in kids

Need to go to lidl for our monthly shop as everything I see running low so me and my boys will do that after dinner tonight hoping to spend just over £100 on food tonight we shall see

I've bought the boys all there vests in primark as they were only £1.50 each so they've got a small pile of them, don't need to get Kk shorts as my mil bought him a pile of them from the charity shop and he's that skinny that the shorts that were too big for him in turkey 2 years ago still fit him so I'm saving money there..........how come shorts are so expensive was looking for Xander he wanted adidas ones but they were £20 for one pair yet on the same website I could get him a full tracksuit for £21.24 doesn't make sense

Need to also sort out Passport as well will get that sent away at the end of the month as need him to get his passport pictures signed and verified its so expensive to do passports ffs

    Morning

Well our monthly lidl shop was a success spent £111 in there only need to get tins of soup but I'll get them from homebargains at the weekend and a box of chicken from the butchers and that's us down for the month expect from top ups of milk bread and juice

Working 7am til 6pm been asked for longer hours don't mind as it's extra pennies I guess but what a long shift then I do the avon collection at 6.30pm and that takes about an hour and a half so I'll defo be working for my money xx.

Transfered £10.67 to the holiday fund so we are officially over the £1100 mark go me

I have £8 in my purse and £6 is accounted for bus fares and toddler fees and I don't intend to spend any more than what's in my purse lets see if I can do it

And I still have one more question on my childminding paperwork took me another 2 hours to answer 4 questions thank goodness it's nearly done as it needs to be I need tomorrow that's like a full days shift doing this paperwork ffs it better be worth it xx

    Off to dress. Kk xx

    Morning

Transfered my wages to the holiday fund now over the £1150 mark going to aim for £1350 for next weekend........should be feasible as I've got a extra shift today, 4 extra shifts from one parent next week so half of that will go towards the holiday fund and another parents wants a extra half shift next week too so extra pennies for next week.

Still waiting on a couple of avon orders before I can put it through tonight wanting to hit the £400 mark nearly there so we shall see xx

Should be a LSD day as I've got playgroup then after the nursery run I have a hug every pile of washing to sort out and iron whilst one of myindees are having a nap

Managed to get my paperwork finished and submitted to the council so will see how I got on when I go to my meeting on Tuesday xx

Off to dry my hair and get Kk ready for playgroup xx
