Abba1772's Debt Free Diary 26th Oct 10 at 11:38 PM
    hi everyone

New on here not new to debt was married for 10 years and we seperated so i took any debt that was in my name and he took his debt

By OMG what a mess got my credit card statement in and it was for £6000 and this was may last year but i've ploughed extra money into this credit card every month and i'm thrilled to say that in 16 months i am just above the £3000 mark

    Debts June 2009
    Capital One Card £6000
    BOS CC £1700
Car Finance This finished in August 2012 @ £124 a month fixed payments
DFS Couch This finishes 2013 @55.63 a month fixed payments

    Debts October 2010
Capital One Card £3245.39 Paying £200 a month into this
BOS CC £1559.81 Paying minimum payment of £34

I have cancelled my Capital One Card so just paying the balance off interest is roughly £50 a month but last year is was over £80 a month so saving £30 already

Also do not have my PIN number of the BOS Card either so haven't spent on wither card since June 2009

My plan is to concentrate on the Capital One Card and if i continue paying £200 a month i will have this cleared in 18 months so it'll be paid off in April 2012 but my aim is to have it paid off before xmas next year!!!!

The the BOS card will be paid off using the excess £200 plus the £34 it'll only take me 7 month to pay that off which by that time i'll only have paid the final instalment of my little car so i'll have £360 a month spare so will whack that into my couch.

well it's a plan and so far i've stuck to it for a year and feel good esp when my ex husband complaining he's up to his eyeballs on debt when he went on a spending spree and bought a 10 grand car

My kids are 8 and 4 and they are even getting into the frugal life my daughter heads to the sale rail of any clothes shop or the reduced counter at supermarkets and she loves getting bargain

    sorry to waffle on lol

One of my parents is due to pay me tonight or tomorrow morning so if she does that too will be getting transfered into the holiday fund so it's creeping up nicely......rounded down my account today and sent £2.01 towards the holiday fund

Kk still poorly so we are going to watch the Lego movie with cosy blankets and just chill out with him and my mindee so be back later xx

    Morning

Big payment went to the holiday fund today

    £105.30 from tax credits
    £27.50 from avon customer
    £35 from parent

Rounded down the account as well so sent £171.81 towards the holiday account still waiting on some avon customers to pay so still owe £23.50 towards the holiday spending money and half of my extra shifts money is also going towards the holiday spending money as well so I'm hoping to hit £300 by the weekend we shall see xx

    Evening

Been a super busy and eventful day today as you can see I've hit my £300 target I set myself for this week

Did a extra shift today so was working fro me 7.30am til 5pm and this is the first time I've actually sat down

So set up playgroup £1.50 towards the end of the session Kk trips and falls straight onto his nose and lips blood everywhere poor wee !!!!!! managed to get the blood to stop thank god for my first aid training then on the way home he tripped and fell at this point bubble wrap was considered at this point

So decided not to send him to nursery so we walked into town I picked up his inhaler, nipped to sports direct picked up kks new led flashing shoes, then it was off to homebargains to get stuff for kks Easter bonnet competition spent £5.39 then had to pop into Asda on way back home to pick up weight watcher meals £3 then bought paint for the house £27.08 but it was needed

Got five extra shifts next week which means extra pennies but need to be careful as it's my grans 79th birthday on Thursday and we are raking her out for her dinner xx

    Morning

Started work at 7.30am will finish at 5.30pm then I have a childminding meeting at 7pm regarding the new 30 hours funded sessions the government are rolling out so defo need to go to this xx

Bought a new printer yesterday as my old one had decided to flatline at the weekend so that cost £24.99 plus the ink cartridge are cheaper to replace than the old one

Managed to put all my receipts from December into my accounts last night then just as I was about to save my work my excel decided to stop working luckily I managed to save it but it was hit or a miss as I did at one point think I had lost all my work that I had been working on for 3 hours although I think I've lost a few from February so need to pull out my paperwork cupboard to make sure xx

Today is another busy day, we are off to toddlers today who are having their Easter party today so kids will have fun, need to put money into the playgroup bank account today then need to get juice for Abbie bread and milk all before 12.30 like a challenge so a bit of a spendy day

Council are crediting me £10.79 for abbies school bus fares so as soon a school it's in my account it'll be going to the holiday fund every penny helps xx

Off to get kids ready for going on the bus xx
