Default Digital photo frame from Aldi. 39.99 any good?

I want to buy a digital photo frame for my parents for Christmas. I have seen this on the Aldi weekly email: http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_7320.htm

A 7 inch for 39.99
16MB memory
Includes built-in speakers, multi-card reader, calendar, alarm clock functions, remote control
eBook function
AV out function with AV cable
USB 2.0 Jack
Supports: JPEG, MPEG 1-4, MP3 WMA
Frame available in Black or White

Is this a good deal? Or would I be better spending a little extra on a known brand? Tevion is usually okay, although I recently had some screen burn on one of their telephones (which would have been fine to exchange if I could find the receipt! Ah well!).

They don't mention the screen resolution which is worrying.

How about this one?

I know it's more money, but it's 9" and is a great frame. I bought one a few months ago & love it!
