Morning everyone. DS2 slept until 5.30 this morning so a bit more sleep here! Except he's shattered now and refusing to sleep. I think we'll be taking a walk to the park after the shopping delivery. He's just turned 2 and is a proper 2yo now!
Sounds like everyone's coming down with nastiness atm. Hope you all feel better soon.
So today will be....
*trying to reconcile YNAB. I set it up yesterday but it says I have £100 less thank my bank account actually is so I need to work out what's going on.
*BLD from stores
*put up the kitchen blind to try and keep more heat in
*hang out the washing DONE
*bit more decluttering and definitely cleaning
I'm now off to switch off all the electrical stuff that DS has switched on....0 -
Hi everyone.
Today I will:
-Not spend anything. I must have something in the fridge/freezer for tea.
-Cycle to the doctors surgery rather than getting the bus
-Not buy food at work, I have leftover spag bol, crisps and 3 coconut cakey things (they're small) to get me through the day
-Look out things to sell and list a few things on local selling sites as collection only
-Finish my patchwork cushion using an old duvet cover rather than buying more fabric for the backing. May have to edge it in duvet cover fabric too, made a bit of a mistake with my measurements...February No Spend Days Target: 10

Good morning, Well this morning started off with my highly motivated until about 20 minutes ago when I got an email telling me that my application to uni had been unsuccessful.
My list for today:
Get a quick shower
Revise for exam
Stay focused and go into exam with a positive mind (I will try)
Remind DH to pick up DM she is looking after the little ones tonight, as we have a progression meeting at DS1's school
Get rid of 100 emails (ongoing)
Sort curtains for dd's bedroom
Check swagbucks, superpoints
Check freepostcodelottery and birthday bingo
Think about and research options for after this year
All meals from stores
I think that is everything that I need to achieve today.0 -

Sorry to hear that too . You say you're in an exam later? Good luck with that, and try to stay positive!
My list is pretty short today:- Brace myself for payday tomorrow :T . Normally I would sort my budget out but we won't know until Thursday how much (if anything) my boyfriend will be getting paid so can't budget until then
- Have a LSD - just need to buy something for dinner
- Made a packed lunch for work
- Handed boyfriend's sick line into his work
- Checked internet banking
- Check Onepoll for surveys
- Look at switching Broadband; I've become complacent with this, and I know we could get it cheaper elsewhere
- 10 minute housework - kitchen on a Tuesday
- See if I'm entitled to a free phone upgrade

MM - Oh no! So sorry to hear that. What are your other options at this point?
Carrie - Sorry to hear you are poorly.
Dawn - Good luck with your decluttering! dont throw your bedding though, if you have a cash for clothes near you, they are good as they are nice and heavy so you get more money per kilo.
BB - Good luck with your bits of decluttering.
Sally - Oh no, coffee is your friend today yes?
Hi Puzzled
Some small wins so far.
1. I swapped the larger of my 2 CCs to a life long balance thing as Im struggling to make any huge headway and the 0% always ends before I get there. So this one has a nice long go at only 4.9%. Anyway I was confused when my statement came in that the interest was still really high. So I called them this morning & they instantly said, oh sorry you are on standard rate of 18.9% we will sort it out & back date it today. So a small victory but has made me feel better, plus points out I have a handle on what figures should look like & dont blindly accept interest any more.
2. Have managed to list 1 comic, 2 pairs of kids shoes, a laptop case, & 3 kids tops on Ebay so far today. Have to nip out in a bit so maybe get a bit more done after that.
3. Have sent an email that I've been putting off, that has made me feel better.
4. Have called and arranged a new line with TalkTalk that is only £19.75 per month for both my calls & broadband. For the business. This is less than I was paying per month for just my line rental. Then £60 per quarter for broadband. So less than half.
Right, am off out. I am tasking myself with going to Lidl instead of Sains as although it is further, the savings are very good & I must not be lazy.
See you later.

Did you only apply to one Uni Minniemousesmummy? Remember you may get another chance at clearing....is it a very specific course you are wanting to do? Try not to feel demotivated re your upcoming exam, as there is usually more than one way to reach your goal0 -

I'm at work today...feeling poorly (in the unwell club too!) with a cold but going out after work to a cheap eat in Soho with a school friend. She's doing dry January so I won't drink which will keep the cost down and the cold at bay. :AApril Grocery Challenge: £218.82/£6000
